Anybody else going? Figured I might as well post the roll call here as well (I posted it originally on the "other" board). :)

My wife, Amanda, and I will be on board visiting from Hawaii. 3 night stay pre-cruise in NYC.

Looking forward to hearing from other people!

Hi, Masaki. My husband, Joe, my twin sister, Rose, a friend, Shirley, and I will be on board with you and your wife, Amanda. We are going into NY the night before and staying in Montreal for two days before returning to San Antonio and Cleveland. Looking forward to seeing both of you. Marilyn

Hi Marilyn! Good to know that we won't be alone on the ship! :) Actually, there was a captjohn on the "other" board that also posted that they were coming as well (from Hawaii, no less!) but haven't seen him around lately.

Joe must be a very lucky guy to get to go cruising with 3 ladies! :) Looking forward to meeting you all.

If you want, we're posting introductions in the Welcome/Introductions part of this board ... we'd love to know more about you and Joe!

Wave at us when you board - we will be getting off the ship (RT NYC to Bermuda) We will try to save you some Wine and Caviar. Please do the same for us because we will get back on in Sept to do the same cruise you are doing (NYC to Montreal)

Kathy - we won't need to save you any wine and caviar - RSSC will have 3 months to restock! :)

Masaki, I met Joe and Sansue et al when we were on our Chilean Fjords cruise in November. They are wonderful people!

Marilyn - we've been having such a good time on vacation, we didn't even notice that you had posted again until today. I haven't read your introduction yet - I'll have to go take another look at it!

What does sansue mean anyways? (if you don't mind me asking)

Hi, Masaki. Sorry I have not replied to your question about Sansue. It is a shortening of our dear cocker spaniel's name, Sandy Sue (in Texas you must have two names, like Billy Bob!). She is in dog heaven since 1998. Looking forward to June 9. Do you, or does anyone, know if there are any formal nights on our cruise?

Ah, that explains it. Thanks for the explanation.

I figure our cruise docs will let us know if there are formal nights - but I figure that there'll be at least one. Maybe somebody who's done it before can tell us?

According to the RSSC brochure pertinent to these and Bermuda cruises, it's Country Club Casual and 2 Informal. That's what I've been planning on, but some of the Bermuda cruisers who've received docs say 3 Informal. Am hoping that Claudia M who just returned will fill us in. ;)

Sansue and Masaki,

I just called RSSC with some questions and Jackie said there are 3 Informal nights, rest CC Casual ! Even gave me the dates for Informal, which would be the 3rd, 4th and last nights. In our case, the 1st one would be an at sea day. I don't know why yours would be different and this is in line with what the Bermuda cruisers are getting in their docs. Maybe another phone call is in order????? confused

Kathy - at this point, I think I'll just wait for my docs to settle it one way or another ... :)

Saw it in our docs today as well! Woohoo! :) We were on a F guarantee and got upgraded to 813 (D suite) - we'll get to sway more since we're now higher. ;)

What suites are you guys in?

Kathy - what are you doing up!?? :)

The flight in is going to be painful - we're starting at 7 am out of HNL and arriving a little past midnight into NYC after a stopover in SFO ... (sigh) It'll all be worth it in the end. (have to keep telling myself that) :D

Masaki, WOW. Bet you're glad you will have 3 days in NYC to get ready for the cruise. We are way down low in 609. I think we are part of the crew and will have to help out when docking and little things like that during the cruise. The bad part is getting up so early but we do get to wear those fancy uniforms!!!

Masaki,
Couldn't sleep, didn't feel good, but will make up for it tonight, I hope!!

Do NOT envy your flight schedule; it's going to be hard enough for me to make a 9:30AM flight. Hope the return flights are better!!

John - you're lucky that you're going part way early so you don't have to do the flight across country all at once. If we had gotten our original F class cabin, we'd be in the crew section with you. :D

Kathy - hope you're sleeping now and feeling better overall ... The return flights are much better, thank goodness.
