We leave for Anchorage on September 10 for our pre-PANDA cruise to the Aleutians, Russia, and Northern Japan. The ports are Kodiak, Kamchatka Island (Petropavlovsk), Hakodate, Sendai, Yokohama (for Tokyo) and Osaka. The GrayWolf's are also on this segment with us making it the Wolf Pack cruise :app: . Our mission on this segment (which we choose to accept) is to make sure there's still some Grey Goose left for when all the PANDA people join us.

We're on the Grand Princess, 16 days S'ampton to NYC, with stops in Bergin and Geiranger, Norway, then the Faroes, two stops in Iceland, then Greenland, and lastly St.John's, before NYC.
A very, very inexpensive cruise, with 8 wonderful sea days.

Isn't it great that we have so many choices!

We leave for London on August 29th and will board the Crystal Symphony on the 31st:

I will be on the Crystal Symphony from Dover to NY. Judith (JAM) and here lovely husband Larry will also be on the cruise.

8/31 - Dover
9/1 - at sea
9/2 - Dublin
9/3 - Belfast
9/4 - at sea
9/5 - Reykjavik, Iceland
9/6 - at sea
9/7 - at sea
9/8 - Nuuk, Greenland
9/9 - at sea
9/10 - at sea
9/11 - at sea
9/12 - Halifax
9/13 - at sea
9/14 - NY

Perhaps I will see Dooley in Iceland or Greenland but I don't think there are any ships in port while we are there.

Nancy, this is an interesting "crossing"! I am eager to learn what Regent plans for the crossings in 2009, as I had so much fun on mine this year. Would just prefer a different itinerary. I guess I thought you could fit more ports into that time. Perhaps not.

Wishing the Wolfpack cruisers and Splish a great cruise!

Olivia,

The Symphony repositions from Northern Europe and does this type of crossing every September. They vary the itinerary every year but it is typically 14 to 16 days. I can't wait for the cool weather and the great sea day lecture line up. This cruise is a film and Theatre theme. It then does several Canada/NE intineraries.

I also wish Wolfpack Splish a great cruise.

I am thrilled to be going for the second time to Alaska on the Mariner.

My first ever cruise was the Mariner to Alaska in 2001, so it will be nice to see her since her refurbishment.

I am being joined by some friends, and this is their first cruise ever.

I am sure they will forever spoiled and addicted to cruising, just like me!

It's easy to get addicted on Regent, isn't it, IG. I am turning my good buddy onto cruising on the Naviagtor this January. Can't wait for her to get the cruise bug with me. [Linked Image]

Island Girl, I plan on attending the Solo Travelers get together on the 1st evening - please try to drop by & say Hi!

Nancy, I look forward to hearing about your cruise. I'd like to try another cool weather cruise. Every year I try to escape the Texas heat in Aug. or Sept., so I been to Alaska several times. Spent the month of August on the Mariner last year.

Hey Coffee Cup, which Captain, Cruise Director & Assistant, Hotel Director, Destination Specialist were on the ship when you sailed?

Happy Travels All!

Gay Rie,

Since Houston is so hot and humid for many months each year, we tend to go on a cruise in the late summer or early fall somewhere cool. We've done the British Isles, Alaska and Canada/NE the past few years. Austin is a great city but it can get as hot as Houston...less humidity.

Enjoy your wonderful cruise. What a great itinerary.

I assumed (incorrectly) that this was for LCT cruise lines. I see it isn't.
I leave on the 12th on the Emerald Princess for the Med. Italy, Turkey,Greece, France and Spain.
I know I will be in culture shock having never sailed on that a ship that comes anywhere close to 3100 passengers! Lynn

Thanks, Anne. I understand email is pretty expensive on princess, but I will try. There are 2 of us who have managed to accummulate a group of 45 people, with multiple private tours in all the ports. Should be mind-boggling.
