Marcia and I will be traveling through New England on the HAL Maasdam in July. Just wondering what others' experiences, if any, have been with this particular ship. We splurged for the balconies.
It's been several years but we really enjoyed our cruise on the Maasdam. The food was wonderful and I remember how tasty all the beef was as well as the flourless chocolate cake! We also had a balcony and the room was quite comfortable.
We were on the Maasdam out of Boston two years ago, and the experience was excellent. The ship is great, and service spot on. The only thing I disliked was the wine steward clicking my card when I had a glass of wine at dinner; my kids really liked that cruise--not Regent, but it's not bad...have a great time, you will love the ports.
