Hi Everyone...I have not been too active on this board, however, I am extremely excited, now that I finally picked up our docs from our TA. I doubt that Tom and I will be able to met all of you the night before we sail since our flight will not arrive in FLL till 10PM and we are stayin at the Hilton Marina. I don't want to freeze out anyone's parade, but it's been cold here in Florida off and on these past few weeks, and could be cold again January 3rd, so I suggest y'all bring a wrap of some kind. Hope for the best, but plan for the worst - bring or wear a coat.

It's almost Christmas, and in just the 12 days of Christmas, it will be FIESTA! What FUN!

Carla and I just got back from a few days in Miami, with the exception of some rain Saturday afternoon, the weather was perfect for us.. I could take 68-73 degrees everyday for the rest of my life.. Got back yesterday and there was a couple inches of snow and Cape Cod got buried. the holidays will go fast and we will all be partying on the Mariner soon enough... Saw all the cruise ships on Fri/Sat/Sun go out of Miami and instantly got Jealous, but then had to say to myself just two more weeks........

Us too, Todd, we're just south of Sarasota in Nokomis, although we're leaving here for Ft. Lauderdale Wednesday the 29th, to fly from there to Syracuse (shudder) for a family New Year's wedding. We'll fly back to FLL on Sunday the 2nd, giving us a day's grace before Fiesta.

Two weeks ago Syracuse had 96 hours of snow straight. And the past 36 hours have shown some pretty rough weather all over the nor’east. Just north of Syracuse, on the Tug Hill plateau directly in the lea of Lake Ontario they got 24 feet of snow in 12 hours once! A winter horror!

Joanna, we are only this sort of organized because Juli, Ben and kids are arriving here tomorrow and will be here until Sunday morning. We will go to the Dulles Marriott Sunday night, so as not to have to deal with worrying about a cab getting here at 5:30 on Monday, and....we get an extra hour sleep, so that is all part of it too.

I packed somewhat tonight. I do it in steps. I put out all the clothes I want to bring, then realize I have too much and remove them and start the discarding process.I have it down now to a suitcase and one half. We are taking our own snorkeling and dive stuff. We have reservations for dinner on the 31st and won't get home until after midnight. We leave Sat am at 5:30am. Gil and Arlene are going to be picking up some very sleepy peeps. But, we will hopefully recover by the time we see y'all. Can't wait to see Gil and Arlene's new place in FLA. The pics are beautiful.

Flying out early Sunday 6am (yawn), not packed yet, confusing to pack for warm weather when it's 19* outside. Teresa leaves Monday and Marilyn & I drive to the ship Tuesday.

So, I'm trying to decide clothing for the trip, mostly day time, and I just checked the weather for each port...and it seems like we are going to have rather cool temps ( by that I mean 70's)..Has anyone else checked and maybe found warmer temps?

We're trying to pack. Half the dining room is full of skis and snowboard and boots and poles and helmets, etc. etc., The other half is full of wetsuits, fins, snorkels, regulators, etc., etc., If we show up with hand warmers instead of flip flops, we're in trouble.

We fly to Orlando at 0700 tomorrow! We will go directly to Universal's Islands of Adventure and stand in line for the Harry Potter rides all afternoon! We'll see if we make it to mid-night or not.. probably not! :rolleyes:

Joannie, I just looked this morning and only FLL and Key West were in the 70's. The rest were in the 80's and I think Belize city was forcasted at 85!

I supposed the temps change with each website we use! Knock on wood, I am not seeing much rain at all.
