We are taking the ferry from Moorea to Tahiti to board the ship. What is the earliest that we can get on the ship?? My passage contract states a 3:00 p.m. departure time but I rememebr reading somewhere that we can't board till 5:00 p.m.

Thank you! Babs

We boarded around 2:30. It was nice to get there before the buses.

We were the first ones on the ship at 2:00. They took us in the Grand Salon and served us cute little sandwiches, champagne and juice until they were ready to check us in. It was nice. It probably just depends on when they are ready for the passengers.

Thank you. We'll make our way over there a bit earlier than the 3:00 time. I CANNOT wait much longer...

I have been there at 2:00 p.m. and asked to come back because they weren't ready. They took our luggage, and we walked over to the market and came back at 2:30 and waited in the Grand Salon with drinks until 3 p.m. when they checked us in. I think 2:30 p.m. is a safe bet. People who took the Air France flight or are pre-cruise start arriving around 3:00. The majority don't get there until 7:30 p.m. when the Air Tahiti flight arrives or some not until 1 a.m. because that is when the new non-stop from New York arrives. The ship now departs from Papeete at 1:30 or 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
