Just arrived in Nice this afternoon to work for a few days prior to our Voyager cruise on Sat - I probably asked these questions before but pls humor me and help me out again

1. What time can we arrive and board the ship?
2. We leave from Nice and is there info we need to know about where to go once we arrive at port or is it rather evident? (Like....once you see the boat you're there... :) :) :)
3. Is there anything else I need to know about embarkation?
4. Why are cruise docs so heavy? (just kidding)

Thanks and I look forward to sharing my journey with everyone on this board.

We arrived at the port and noon and they let us right on. Rooms were ready about 2pm; We had lunch and then we could unpack. I have been known to sneak into the room before it's ready and put my stuff in the safe and leave the hand luggage without a problem;

There is a port in Monte Carlo and a different on at Nice; We went from Monte Carlo. You can see the ship from the hotel or the marina; Very easy;
There was a line to see your docs to let you into the main security building; They take the luggage from there; Then you go into the building, show your passport, take your photo, get your room key; Next station is boarding, champagne and you're all set to relax!

Tallship,

We're aiming at shortly after noon this Saturday (spending the night before in Eze). As ChatKat says, don't expect your cabin to be ready, but you'll drop your luggage before boarding so you'll only have your carry-ons to deal with. They'll make you feel welcome and there will be lunch service available in La Veranda up on the pool deck.

The port at Nice is very small...the Voyager is the only ship listed as being in port there that day...it'll be pretty obvious.

Perhaps we'll encounter you at the sail-away (group of 6...you've seen a picture of CruiserPK with her avatar)!
