The new 2006 PG rates hit the web today. The rates are just slightly higher than last year sometimes as little as $50 on the lower end cabins. Just thought you would like to know they are now out.

Yippee! I just looked at our June itinerary, and the pricing now is $476 more for the two of us. Glad we booked when we did, under the 2005 protected pricing. I like this about Radisson, reward the early booker!

Well I did found ONE only where the price is lower now although not by much - you have to check each date specifically.

RooRoo and Ngaire-
I can't find it period; the website is down; oh, well--it will give me something to keep checking; RooRoo-are you doing the airfare with the cruise line and/or any pre-cruise? I keep checking it out; the nice thing is they give youseveral months before you have to pay; so in the meantime, I am having the airfare held for us; so far, it's hard to beat-

Franco, good evening to you!

Yes, the airfare is hard to beat, and we are definitely going through RSSC with our air. It prices out as either very close to, or more than, what you can find on Expedia, Travelocity, etc. And - from our excellent travel agent - my wife learned about this added bonus you get. RSSC will pay for an overnight in LA (I think it is the Hilton?), and you also have use of a day room in Papeete post cruise, each of these depending on what the flight schedules are when you get closer to final payment.

I am, frankly, amazed that RSSC will commit to this, I think it says alot about them. We have cruised Silversea, and they claim to have air/hotel specials but they are much higher than if you just book them on your own.

To answer your other question, we are not adding on hotel pre or post cruise, but we are thinking of possibly staying in Moorea in an over water bungalow while the ship is docked there. I guess this is one of the published "excursions"!

I know it is such a long ways away but it sure is fun planning.

Hi, Roo Roo-
that sounds like a great excursion! we haven't really decided on the excursions yet; had hoped to start that as soon as the web page is back up; I guess they send them to you in the mail--so many months before you go?? there are several that I have read about that sound great-
we have 2 weeks so we figured we might as well take full advantage of it and do a pre-cruise; but those prices haven't come out yet-
--it will be here before we know it--and life goes by way too fast anyway--take care-

Franco and Roo Roo, lucky you.

On Pip, they had an overnight excursion on an OWB in Bora Bora, not Moorea, but maybe they have changed it.

But beware, the BB one was outrageously expensive. Can't remember exactly, but it was something like $1700 a couple. Remember, the PG is pretty nice!

Wendy...woops! I think I did mean Bora Bora. And you just answered my question before I could post it here - I was very curious how much this excursion would be. $1700 would be a bit out of our range!

Franco, if you've got the time, I would certainly do pre or post, if I were you! We wish we could get away for that long.

Even one night pre- is a big win. You will be relaxed and have spent a day lolling around a swimming pool in your pareo, and will be ready for this wonderful experience.

So, if you can swing it, try to arrive in Papeete the night before.

RooRoo and Wandra-
we are definitely doing a pre-cruise; if we do rssc, we arive at night on sat.; personally, being it's our first time, I would rather come in in the morning and see the beauty of it all; need to do air deviation for that; that's not a problem--we will see; but choosing which resort for the 4 nights is very, very difficult; boils down to moorea pearl, moorea ibc, or moorea sheraton-we shall see; rates are suposed to come out next month-does anyone out there have a suggestion?
I really am looking forward to this--we need to get away and relax--so in the meantime, i do a lot of dreaming-

Oh Franco, great choices. Haven't been to any of them, but Moorea is great. You can read lots of comparisons of these three resorts over at: http://www.tahiti-explorer.com

Thanks, Wandra--
I know it will be great!!! I just ordered a Tahiti snorkel book from Borders, so I hope to be more informed on that topic, too, as we love to snorkel-
thanks again-
