Did anyone else get this email from Radisson? It looks weird to me, like it's not really from Radisson. For one thing, it came to an email address that I have never used with Radisson. If Radisson really didn't send this email, I wonder what happens when you click on the link in the email. Maybe I am just being paranoid :)
This is the email address it was sent from:
Radisson Seven Seas Cruises" radissonsevenseascruises@e.experian-ems.com
And this is the email:
Invitation from...
Radisson Seven Seas Cruises
Dear KAREN MARIE,
Radisson Seven Seas Cruises values you as a customer. To better serve you, we'd like the opportunity to communicate with you via email, highlights of our programs, current promotions, and extend exclusive special offers to valued customers such as you.
If you would prefer not to receive communications via email from us, please click here to send a blank email and you will be removed from Radisson Seven Seas Cruises future email campaigns.
Sincerely,
Radisson Seven Seas Cruises
Karen Live long and prosper

Sounds dangerous to me. I would try putting in that url at a public computer like the library. Karen, I googled experian and ems and found this site: http://www.experian.co.uk/ems/ It is a mailing service. Looks fine.

I got one, addressed to Pamela Lurie. I don't follow links, ever, because I've gotten way too many phishing emails, but I thought that whoever sent it missed a few sandwiches when they packed that picnic.

Experian is a US company. Lot's of Phishing schemes come from abroad. The link in Karen's email is a doc com address and with the dot and then an extension and the address mimics a real one. I'd leave that alone on all accounts.

Kathy, it is owned by a British Company. They have an office in CA.

Thanks, Betty for the update. I knew their hdqtrs are in Costa Mesa so was not aware of the connection across the pond!

It's fake Karen - I don't think RSSC would rely on a third party to contact valuable customers.

Lawrence: Radisson DOES use third parties for their email marketing campaigns. Here is the bottom tag on an email for the 2006 Grand Circle Pacific I received in July. This message was sent by Radisson Seven Seas Cruises using Responsys Interact. Safely unsubscribe from Radisson Seven Seas Cruises e-mail at any time. View our permission marketing policy. There was also a link to the Responsys Interact site at the bottom of the email.

Marcie:
Radisson is not going to waste email on you. If they want to let you know something, they will just give you some "door mail." They know where to find you....
.....on Voyager or Mariner!

I'm rather alarmed that Radisson would send emails via a third-party because I don't recall any way to opt-out of those communications.

Lawrence, the email that Karen posted about supposedly had a way to opt-out; that link popped an email form up on my screen.

I also received this email on December 1. It did come to my regular email address, and it appeared to be from RSSC as usual.
I did think the content was kind of weird since I've been receiving emails from them for years.
I think they must be engaging a new company to handle their email correspondence, and this is their way of getting your permission for them to email to you.
Happy Holidays to all you LCT'ers.

Just got this from RSSC.
"Yes, we did hire an outside firm to check e-mail addresses for some passengers where we didn’t know we had correct e-mail addresses. So we need to ask their permission to send them something. So the answer is yes, it is from us"

Very interesting. I wonder why it wasn't sent to my real email address. The Hotmail address that it came to is something I would never use with Radisson!
