Does anyone know if SSS members are entitled to any special offers or upgrades at any of the Regent Hotels? They just opened a new property on South Beach that looks amazing. Has anyone who has stayed at any of their properties share their experiences?

Thats a very good question!
I was in South Beach in January and cannot believe how amazing the new Regent hotel looks:
Saw it during different times of construction.
Looks so much like a cruise ship, I wanted to check in.

To my knowledge at this time the hotels offer no special benefits for Seven Seas Society members. I have not stayed at the new hotel but hear it is fantastic.

Ngaire,

Can Goldpoints be redeemed for stays at Regent properties?

At this time just Radisson Hotels to my knowledge. We keep up with the ins and outs and finer points of the gold points program as it pertains to the cruise line but not with relationship to the credit cards and other partners.

I think that adding Regent hotel perks like reduced rates to the Society program would be a fantastic idea!

Thanks Ngaire. And Karen, I agree with you that upgrades, discounts at Regent Hotels would be a great perk to add to SSS rewards. That's how to encourage brand loyalty! Maybe we should plan an LTC weekend trip to the Regent South Beach Hotel in the off-season??

We saw the outside of the Regent South Beach when we were down there in Jan. and actually found it very disappointing. It is a long narrow building with most of the rooms having no view (or just a view of the adjacent building to the south or for now an empty lot to the north) and those that face Ocean Drive (east) basically look out at a large Condo building and maybe a sliver of the ocean if you look way to the right. South Beach has gotten incredibly expensive. We stayed at the Hotel Victor (part of Hyatt but not really marketed as such) and the rates (we stayed for free on Faster Free Night awards) were $725+ per night.

Karen, we got the same email. I started to get excited as Diana was reading it to me. We would love to go back to the Turks and Caicos. Then she told me the "SPECIAL" rates!

We received that, as well. I'm well aware that room rates have risen substantially, but those rates are very much out of sight
