Hey ya'll,

First am sure you gals can appreciate Ida's comment to me, "I love our bathroom, the toilet is designed where the men have to drop the seat
to flush" needless to say she is in toilet heaven. Also, almost had to pull her out of the closest, she loves the space, can't believe she hung up all her clothes, and with the 1/8th of space left, I hung mine.

Was up at 0630 this morning running the track for 10 minutes, but felt like a hamster on a wheel (takes only 3 min to circle the track) so off to the fitness center for 30 min on the eliptical. Then into the pool for 50 laps (not that bad as one length is 14 strokes)..interesting tho as it is saltwater...great way to top off the workout by meandering over to the pool side grill and quaffing a few glasses of fresh squeezed OJ. The view is spectacular, open ocean, white caps and it feels like the caribbean at 75 at 8 in the morning! Cruise Heaven.

Well tonight is formal night, with the Captain's
(Capt. Romero) reception at 6:30...will put on my mess blues (equivalent of military tux)for what I believe will be my last time--as I retire in
July and have no more formal functions (Yipee!)

We will dine in the Compass room and will do the comparison for you Suzie..also will see if your
waiter friend is on board.

Ngaire, will say hello to Patrick and Arnold for you too.

Margo, will give your warm regards to the O'Neils
and you are exactly right, we dined in the Portofino during their Italian Steak Night..our
friends (Col Dave & Laura) have a reservation for
the four of us on 10th for the Italian Family style.

Doug, Ida enjoyed the yoga (10 folks) and then did 25 min on the eliptical...when she does aerobics (with Lexay--the fitnes instructor) we will report back. We plan on trying the broadway show tonight..

Well in a hour it is off to wine tasting and then at 1400 (oops) 2pm it is a lecture on "Hemingway".
Now,we understand why so many of you enjoy these
sea days.

More tonight or NND3.

Take good care.

r/wes

So good to hear from you Wes! Will you have someone take a photo of you and Ida in your Mess Blues and post it? I think you will be the most handsome couple! On MINT there was a Marine Master Sergeant who wore his Uniform on formal night...He was so distinguished looking!

I'm glad you're enjoying yourselves and getting enough exercise for you and me both! :app:

Wes - The excitement you and Ida shared upon boarding the Navigator and seeing your suite for the first time brought back all the excitement of my very first cruise which was also on the Navigator. We felt like kids in a candy store. Thanks for reminding me of that great feeling!!! I'm so happy that your cruise is turning out wonderful so far. I'm sure it will keep getting better and better. You are lucky to have the great weather for your 1st sea day. When I was on board, all of our sea days were in extremely stormy weather. We couldn't enjoy them as you are. It wasn't until I went on my second cruise (not Radisson :( ) in nice weather than I understood why people liked sea days so much.

I second Marcie's request to see a picture of you and Ida with you in your Marine Blues. What a great sight that will be. We honor your service so very much!!

Thanks for posting so much. Love hearing each & every word from you.

i have to fully concur with Ida that the walk in closets are wonderful. And no, I did not hog all the space.

Sea days are relaxing, aren't they? They were especially great on MINT as it wasn't the destination but the people that we wanted to see.

Wes, please tell me that the Navigator is still in great shape even though I have not sailed her since 2000 or so! Can't wait to get on her again in June with the great group that Ngaire is gathering! Does Ida love that walk-in closet?

Wes, so glad that you and Ida are having a wonderful time. Say hello from Donna and Alan to "Edwin" (our favorite waiter) if he is on board. Better yet, sit in his section. You'll be glad you did. Keep having fun!

Hey ya'll!

Back from the first day of excursions--see NND3 post.

Kathy is 100% on the mark, Olivia, the Navigator is in tip-top shape altho my perspective is skewed with the new cruiser enthusiasm and the bottom wine glass that you get at dinner.

Donna and Alan..roger on Edwin..will say hey
and seek him out.

Ngaire, said hi to Patrick in the Compass room while we suffered through Lobster matched with
the perfect Chilean Chardonnay...He said you are
wonderful too..I told him about your new safari
adventures. Arnold is on vaction tho.

now for NND3

Ah thank you Wes, I so enjoy Patrick and kind of miss those two. Been a while since I have seen them.
