You must of stayed in same room in same hotel in Bangkok as I did. The Royal something or other, can't remember the name. Our pictures are almost the same on Ofoto, just the boats in the river are different.
Did your husband enjoy the scenery at the swimming pool? I sure did. :b:

Do you mean the Royal Orchid? It's just up the river from the Oriental.
If memory serves me right, It's a Marriott property, isn't it?

Chip. During the World Cruise I actually stayed at 4 differnt hotels (Queensland, Bangkok, Taj Mahal and Luxor) so I was getting mixed up. In Bangkok we were at the Shangra-La. It was very nice...a large suite with a balcony overlooking the river.

Chip - we're staying at the Royal Orchid Sheraton in a few weeks. I'll be sure to let Gary know the best view of the river is from the pool. <img border="0" alt="[naughty]" title="" src="graemlins/naughty.gif" />
Any advice for a few days of sightseeing/relaxation? Thanks in advance, Anne

We figured out that Marcie had stayed in the room above where I had stayed. It was great people watching (the swiming pool came extra) The cast of charcters at the resturatant were out of am Ian Fleming novel. It must of been the hangout for the British embassy. Had a bar that fit right in with that, with the cigars and brandy. Just one of those places in the world that I was glad I got to spend a day in.
That was all there was time for except for the bus ride. Not a place I would rent a car in. Too many police stopping everyone in sight. Even the bus I was in got stopped.
