Hey All,
Does anyone have any suggestions as how to get RSSC to acually assign cabins at booking rather than to keep me in suspense until my docs come. You would thing that with 125 days behing me, 30 days in January 05, I would be able to pick an available cabin for my 60 days on the 2006 World Cruise. Hello RSSC?

Lately, I have felt that they run their room assignments too similar to Carnival Corp. One would hope that a Deluxe Cruise line would be able to better spoil their guests.

Hi Paul! Do you mean 2007 WC? (you're pretty talented if you can be on WC and SA cruise at the same time!) Hopefully Ngaire will see this and shed some light on the subject.

60 days on WC in 2006 is his question. Paul, you KNOW those full WC'ers take precedence. On that little leg I was on, I had to go all the way up to E to reserve, and got a cabin ALL the way forward in 900, and got it changed when I boarded. You have SO much more clout because you are a previouse WC'er. Marcie already got a good cabin..

Olivia, But he's not on the '06 WC, that's why I think he meant 2007 and he is on the full 2007 WC (at least I hope so!) and he was on the full 2005 WC. If I'm understanding this correctly....it sounds like he should have gotten a better cabin IF HE ACTED FAST. Remember, the WC cabins go quick! Don't know his TA (not Ngaire) but hope he's on a waitlist.

Yes, I couldn't be happier with #645!

There is no reason with 60 days on the world cruise for 2007 Paul has to be on a guarantee if he does not want to be. A cabin assignment should be no problem.

Perhaps when he booked he took a guarantee because it was a much lower category being offered.

Things have changed it could be a different story right now. There were a whole bunch of cabins that came back into inventory on Friday when all the automatic bookings for full 2006 world cruisers cancelled if not deposited.

He should have his agent check again.

Thanks Ngaire. I will call RSSC to see if I can get a cabin assigned. And Yes Marcie, I meant 2007. I 'm getting my cruises confused. I only signed up for the 60 days, Ft Lauderdale to Hong Kong. The rest of the trip would be the third time for me and would rather go some place new. (After 54 cruises, it getting hard to find one!) Hans has signed up for the full World 07 and has a cabin assigned. I agree that Full World should get firts choice but what about customer loyalty. I will have more than 150 days with them. And 60 days isn't exactly a short hop.

Paul, just please be aware that you could have had a cabin assignment from the very beginning.

With a 60 day cruise there is NO reason you would not get a cabin assigment. There must just have been some miscommunication on this issue.

I am sure your agent was looking out for your best interest and took the guarantee because the category was what you wanted and there were none left for cabin assignment. That really has nothing to do with RSSC not treating you properly.

So many cabins were blocked and on hold for the 2006 world cruisers if there were no cabins available they cannot assign anything no matter who you are.

The only thing they are holding back is the big suites for full world cruisers. So unless you were after a big suite it makes no sense that if you wanted a cabin assignment that you could not get one.

In fact I got a cabin assignment no problems at all yesterday for a FLL to Hong Kong segment.

I am sure you will get one now when your TA calls.
