Regent customizes cruise documents in a keepsake book

Regent Seven Seas Cruises in coming weeks will begin delivering cruise documents in a book of customized travel details and comprehensive information. Each contains all reservation information for the cruise, shore excursions, pre- and post-cruise hotel stays and land programs and any other supplemental items booked.

The material is arranged in three sections, the first with itinerary, suite information, travel checklist, luggage service, guest information form and Seven Seas Society status. The travel agency of record and primary contact point are featured in this section

The second section has detailed descriptions of Regent’s ‘Free Unlimited Shore Excursions’ and ‘Regent Choice Shore Excursions’ that have been booked in advance or are available for booking. Hotel and land programs information is provided, too.

The on-board experience is highlighted in the third section, including features such as the specialty restaurants, Canyon Ranch SpaClub and other services and amenities.

Pre-printed luggage tags and Visa stamps (if applicable) will also be included in the back of the book.

In addition, a final cruise summary will be emailed 14 days prior to departure with the passenger’s air schedule, any excursions, pre- or post-cruise land programs and dining reservations that have been booked, or changes made, since the printing of their cruise vacation documents.

This final summary, as with the document book itself, will be sent to the travel agency unless elected that the documents be sent to the client directly.

During the next several months, Regent will make enhancements that include a ‘trigger e-mail’ notification to agents that their clients’ documents have been shipped. Dining reservations will be included in the documents starting in November.

Future enhancements will include biographies and photos of senior officers, information on guest lecturers and Spotlight theme cruises, as well as information on gala and special events held on board.

John, I was just reading that in an email. I wonder if they will update the doc holder as well.

Yes, it's a hard covered folder, lager than the size of an 8x11 piece of paper.

This sounds good to me! I've felt like Regent's docs have been a little "lacking" compared to Silversea (although we haven't sailed SS for quite awhile now). I'm a detail hound, the more info the better!

I have seen the first run of the new "documents" and I really like the new format. This arrived the day before I left so I was not able to study the example much but looked great at first glance. Everything in one place and very organized.
