What did I miss? When the new Seven Seas tier levels were announced earlier this year, the Silver level and above included "complimentary Internet access onboard". I was going to post a question about the Paul Gauguin and whether this just meant the computers in the card room, or if there was any way to use my own laptop either by plugging in or any wireless access points. I *am* interested in the answer to that, but now I have an additional question...

I just looked up the program on the RSSC web site, and depending which link you click on, it appears the program has been changed, for the worse. From the main Seven Seas Society page, clicking on "Click here for explanation of benefits" takes you to this page:
<a href="http://www.rssc.com/sssbenefits">http://www.rssc.com/sssbenefits</a>

If this page is correct, it appears complementary Internet service appears to be completely gone (at all levels), and the one hour of telephone time is gone from the Silver level. What happened? They're trimming the benefits only a few months after announcing the program, and not even notifying members? Or is the information wrong on their own web site?

Eric,

I was able to pull up a link that said explanaiton of benefits - it was a .pdf file and it had the same benefits it's had since the announcement. I found it under the tab for Society Members on the RSSC Website. Here is the link:

Kathy,

Yes, I see the PDF version. Thanks. But it's pretty confusing -- there are two links on the same page: one to the PDF which lists the originally-announced benefits, and right below it, a link to the HTML page which lists the different, lesser benefits. I wonder which one they're actualy honoring?

(If they are giving free Internet access, I'd appreciate hearing from any recent PG cruisers about what type of access there is.)

Yes, it is confusing, isn't it? Under the Q&A section, there is more (partial) support for the PDF in sentences like this:

Q: If Silver gets 1 hour of complimentary phone time and Gold gets 2 hours of complimentary phone time, does that mean Platinum gets 7 hours of complimentary phone time?

A: Members are entitled to the block of time associated with their tier and not accumulated by tier. The amount is not added to the hours received by other tiers.
