I did some research as I am on two cruises in 2006 where we need a transfer from London to Dover, June 19th Voyager and August 9th Navigator. Quite a few LCT'ers are on these trips as well.
Of course all those on the air/sea packages will have transfers provided. You can buy a bus transfer ahead of time from RSSC and it will be $110 each.
I found a company that is located in Dover that specializes in these transfers - airport to pier. THey were less expensive than the other companies offering this service that were based in London.
On contacting them I have found them to be efficient and easy to work with. I tried to negotiate a discount rate but since it is not a regular group that could not be done. Each booking will be independent and some of you may want sight seeing as well so I understand why they would be reluctant to this, they also dont really know how many people will use there service and I dont know that either.
The rates appear to be about the same as the Radisson bus transfer for two people but it will be a private car which is always so much nicer. You can leave as soon as you arrive and not have to wait for the Radisson bus transfer. If there are four that can share a van then it will be substantially cheaper.
Although I must post the disclaimer that I have not used this company before I am going to use them for my transfer and wanted to let you all know the company and contact information.
There is no need to say you are from Brown and Keene you will be dealing with them directly and handling the details and pricing yourself. There is no commission for me involved here. The only reason to say that you are from Brown and Keene was so that he knows that we are sending him referrals and maybe next time we will give us a better deal.
His rates show Inclusive. That means tolls and baggage no extra charge it does not mean inclusive of tips.
