Travel Counslers website has an article about the Regent new build. I was surprised to read that one deck is devoted to the spa! Regent Seven Seas plans ultra-luxury cruise ships

This sounds like the new ship is being planned to accommodate only the VERY wealthy. What a mistake!

dumb decision at least for a WC - seems to me that it's alot of wasted space even if it includes - and I assume it does - an expanded aerobics room and gym equipment space. Those areas do need to be larger at least on the Voyager. I forgot to look when I visited the Mariner in Bermuda and it's been 5 years since I sailed on her.
What I don't know is it the Spa is jammed on shorter cruises and the use of space is absolutely correct. On the other hand on shorter cruises, if the ship is in port frequently, how full are the gym classes?
The Beauty Shop was not very "occupied" most of the time during this years WC. The number of staff - massage people/hair cutters/manicure-facial people was reduced early on because fewer people were booking. That had to do with the new prices.
Also, someone mentioned that in the past that WC people got discounts. We did this year but not a big percentage and ONLY if you booked by 1pm.

What's this "Regent Masterpiece Series" talked about in this article...I've never heard of being able to customize your own cruise???
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends ~~M. Angelou~~

AnnaLuisa, I remember that Silversea had this at one point, but not heard about it lately. You could choose ports and tailor your visit that may include one cruise, and a few days before or after the main one or your own itinerary that straddled both. As you can imagine, this is going to be a very expensive option!
I'm not encouraged by the report Karen posted. I never book "premium" cabins on Regent.

Unable to find anything about this on their web, I called. The agent I spoke with had no idea what I was talking about, checked with a supervisor, same response. She took my number and offered to call me back when she had more information.
