I'm going on the Mariner holiday cruise with my husband and daughter. What kinds of things does RSSC do to celebrate Christmas?
Thanks!

We've been on several Christmas cruises...all fabulous! One of the most memorable was a special Christmas brunch on the Navigator. They held the brunch in the Galley just off the Compass Rose. It was Christmas Around the World. Every imaginable Special Christmas dish was served. Absolutely wonderful!
Then there's the unforgetable fiasco when during the Christmas Eve entertainment, Santa was sipping a bit too much egg nog and fell off the stage. We weren't at the program so I'm not an actual witness...but everyone talked about it for days!!! :pass:

We were on the Mariner for one Christmas cruise. It was great as usual. The crew performed for us -- they sang various Christmas carols in many different languages. I think that Santa tripped on a step getting off the stage and broke his wrist. Of course, the ship was just gorgeous. I think of that trip often, as we did B2B with an overnight in Aruba. Everytime I hear news of someplace being searched for that poor girl it brings up memories of the trip. The group who embarked in Aruba were not happy people -- but that did not deter us from enjoying the seconf half of our trip.

It was a lovely way to spend the Christmas holidays. I would do it again. I understand that NY eve is delightful too, but I have never done it.

We sailed Christmas with Bonnie and Sedona. It was wonderful; pure heaven on earth. Alas, we were there when Santa fell and broke his arm. Actually, I don't think he had too much to drink; it was the Irish Priest. :D
We have also sailed twice at New Year's. They were both wonderful!
On our last holiday cruise, one family had ordered a roast goose. They brought the goose out whole so the father could carve the goose for his family.
Radisson knows how to do holidays well.

Let's just hope they never expect Princess Ngaire to carve the rack of lamb! (of course, they haven't so far!)

Most of the passengers were there. That was the Christmas Eve show. He was part of the duo. He broke his arm but didn't want to let on. They didn't want to get kicked off the world cruise.

Yes, it was a wonderful time on that cruise with Bonnie and Marc & their other halfs!
Radisson does the holidays well. And, as I recall, on that cruise there was a lot of nice touches with plenty of Holly, too!

Thanks for the info. Hopefully Santa will have a better time (or maybe he shouldn't have as good of a time!) this year.
Christmas around the world sounds wonderful. My daughter would love it. A few years ago she determined (at age 5) that for Christmas dinner we would only have what people would have eaten when Jesus was born. Let me tell you, that was a hard menu to come up with. So many foods that we consider Mediterranean are actually New World foods (tomatoes, potatos, peppers). I think we finally settled on lamb, couscous and asparagus. Not traditional, but a fun and educational project.
