Did anyone watch the Webinar today?
Jan and I did.
Jan was impressed with some of the new menu items.
I was not impressed with much of anything.
thought it would be about new things and not a repeat of things we already know.
And what happened to the question and answer period? And how do we make
arrangements to use onboard credit to get a private car to get on the ship from our hotel?
Very disappointed.

I watched it as well.

I, too, expected something more than a deluxe infomercial for RSSC.

I submitted questions thinking "Of course they will be covered and will most likely be the same as everyone else's". Nope, nada, nothing remotely in the ballpark.

One of their most popular questions "How can I spend the $1000 OBC offered in the current promotion?". (Or something to that effect). You have to be kidding!

I want to know their take on what cruising will be like in the immediate future. The social aspect. How are bars and lounges going to operate in terms of social distancing? Two couples in two out? Dining only with those in your "bubble". Segregation by age-group (we've heard those rumors). Dancing a thing of the past? Perhaps these issues cannot be addressed until the CDC issues a further edict which in my opinion makes this webinar premature.

Exactly!!
That is what I was expecting but did not happen.
I am sure they spent a lot of hard work putting it together
but hardly anything was what I thought they would present to us.
Actually felt it was a hour waste of my time.

I didn't register because I felt the people doing the presentation were in jobs that involve selling cruises, not making policy.

This is what the invitation said. "Regent executives will discuss their new Health & Safety Protocol and Healthy Sail Panel both onboard and shoreside. They will cover what to expect when Regent starts cruising again."

Did they do that?

Tom.

Not even close, Tom. As I said on Cruise Critic, an hour of my life I'll never get back.

We were also supposed to get a special offer for "attending" the webinar.

Did I miss that? I just remember hearing that the offer was good for two weeks until Aug 12 and that we should take advantage of combining it with the current offer expiring July 31st and to contact our Signature Travel Agent for details. Gosh, I'd kind of like to know what my "special offer" is before I do that so I can do some research.

I guess I expected to receive a special email detailing the *offer* after the webinar since they knew who "attended".

Suzanne, you have to email or call your TA to find out what your surprise is.

Carolyn is right. You are suppose to contact your "signature" rep for the information about the special deal they have for you.

Maybe someone from KLT could just let us all know at one time, instead of bothering them having to tell us one by one. LOL

Yep, I understood that.

Just thought I'd like to know in advance and be able to do some research before contacting my TA...

That makes a lot of sense to me, but that obvious was not something they gave us on the Webinar.

Royal Caribbean just figured out how to improve the worst part of cruising- this will be a big improvement on the old system.

I think the "worst part of cruising" is if the ship sinks. waah

Hahaha, Marc! I can also think of a lot worse things: Rogue wave? Hurricane? Somali pirates? No more vodka?

Marc, Helen — exactly!! I saw thIs in my daily pointsguy email and was very interested in reading it only to find out what it was about. Seriously?? That’s the worst thing about cruising? For sure it’s what Helen said: running out of vodka. But there’s also sewer backups, missed ports, falling off trying to get in a tender or zodiac etc etc etc. And, yes Marc is right, the ship sinking.
