Peggy/Olivia:

Did u note (about OFAC form) this in the Regent note y'all probably received this week:

OFAC Cuba Travel Affidavit:

OFAC oversees the regulations that govern travel to Cuba from U.S. ports. All guests must complete, sign, and return a copy of the OFAC Travel Affidavit. Please click on the following link for the certification form.

To ensure compliance, the completed form must be emailed to rsscops@rssc.com no later than 60 days prior to the cruise departure date.

Hmm, didn't get a note from Regent -- or if I did, I may have deleted it. It will probably come later, but just in case, would you mind sending the link?

Hi Peggy; below is what we received via our TA from Regent believe the links will work when u click on them:

IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION - TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

FOR CRUISES CALLING TO CUBA

Dear Valued Guests and Travel Agent Partners,

Please review this important notification in its entirety as it contains important requirements for all guests on the aforementioned cruise.

Health Insurance:

All guests are required to have Cuban health insurance coverage in order to enter Cuba, which is included in the cost of your cruise fare. The Cuban health insurance solely covers for any medical needs while the ship is visiting a Cuban port. Regular health or travel insurance is not accepted by the Cuban government for medical coverage.

Cuban Visa:

The Cuban government requires anyone who is traveling to Cuba on a passport other than a valid Cuban passport to obtain a visa prior to their arrival into Cuba.

As a convenience to our guests the visa may be purchased through Regent Seven Seas Cruises, prior to departure, for a fee of $75 USD per guest. It may also be obtained independently. Upon check-in, all visitors who were not born in Cuba must present their visa, if obtained independently. Guests who purchased the visa through Regent Seven Seas Cruises will be provided with their visa at time of check-in. Guests without the proper visa will not be allowed to board the vessel and will incur applicable cancellation fees.

For US residents, this visa also known as a “rosada” must have a pink and blue background.

For non-US residents, this visa is issued by the Cuban embassy or consulate in the background color applicable to their country of residency. For non-U.S. residents, if the Cuban visa issued by the Cuban embassy or consulate in the background color applicable to your country of residency is not accepted by Cuban immigration officials, you will be required to purchase the same Cuban visa (or “rosada”) as a U.S. resident.

The Cuban visa is a two-part card. Cuban immigration officials will take both parts upon arrival.

Passports:

All guests must be in possession of a valid passport. Please ensure your passport is valid at least 6 months after your cruise return date.
Passports cards, copies of passports and birth certificates are not accepted.

Please be aware that the U.S. Department of State no longer adds blank visa pages into existing U.S. passports. Applicants in need of additional blank visa pages in their valid passports must obtain a new passport. For more information on how or where to apply, please visit http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/passports/information/apply-early.html

Important Visa & Passport Requirements for Travelers Born in Cuba:
Guests born in Cuba who emigrated before January 1, 1971 and reside in a country outside of Cuba are required to carry either (i) a valid Cuban passport with a habilitación (entry permit) and a valid prórroga (passport extension that must be obtained every two (2) years) or (ii) a valid passport from your country of citizenship along with an HE-11 visa obtained from the Cuban embassy or consulate in your country of residency (except in those cases where such country has entered into a visa exemption agreement with Cuba) for entry to and departure from Cuba. Effective January 1, 2018, Cuba will no longer require a habilitación (entry permit). The estimated processing time for an HE-11 visa is up to 60 days.

Guests born in Cuba who emigrated on or after January 1, 1971 and reside in a country outside of Cuba are required to carry a valid Cuban passport with a habilitación (entry permit) and a valid prórroga (passport extension that must be obtained every two (2) years) for entry to and departure from Cuba. These guests do not need a Cuban visa. Effective January 1, 2018, Cuba will no longer require an habilitación (entry permit). The estimated processing time for a Cuban passport is up to 6 months. Guests residing in the United States may contact the Cuban Embassy in Washington D.C.

All guests must retain a copy of this completed affidavit for a period of five years from the date of completion of their travel to Cuba.

It is imperative that all guests obtain and submit the necessary travel documents prior to your vacation departure, including the completed OFAC affidavit and immigration questionnaire. Failure to produce the correct visa and valid passport at embarkation will result in denial of boarding.

Kindly disregard this notice if you have already submitted your completed documents to Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

We look forward to providing you with a memorable cruise experience.
