I know many of you have been to Angkor Wat, but I am particularly interested in hearing feedback from those who have done the Regent package. Is it a worthwhile tour for the nearly $2,000 per person price?

I know folks who traveled on the Regent tour but we decided to do it on our own. There was nothing wrong with the Regent tour Folks had a good time and stayed at nice properties. We paid about half the price for the same experience and were able to adjust the trip to our own desires. We stayed at the Privilege Floor, an all inclusive, and had a private driver in an air conditioned limo for all our tours and for pickup and return at the hotel. There are other nice facilities and I know a new Hyatt was going up in town.

Cindy, we did the Angkor Wat Regent Tour last year. As I recall, it was included in the cruise fare (or at the most, an additional $499 pp). It was certainly worth at least that, but for $2000 pp you could definitely do it less expensively on your own.

Nice topic, however, i have just back from a 1 month trip to Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, i took a private tour in Angkor and nearby in 3 days through a company (www.vietnameseprivatetours.com )
we visited Angkor wat and Kbal Spean and Bantey Srei, just dont miss out the Apsara dancing show, it is very authentic.

Cheers
