Has anyone done the Hot Air Ballooning tour in Dubai? It's pretty pricey, so I am curious to hear if it was really worth it.

Haven't done the Hot Air Balloon, but we did do the desert safari in Dubai which was great. We'll be on the same cruise with you from Mumbai to Luxor and up to Rome. We're going to do Tea at the Burj in Dubai -- I loved that last time we did it.

Thanks Peggy. Looking forward to seeing you again!
We did a couple of exhilarating dune buggy excursions on our South America trip - David is not too keen on repeating THAT excitement (although I am game to go again! But, I am a bit more adventurous that poor David!!)!
The Balloon Ride is just too expensive in my humble opinion, so I am thinking we will sign up for the High Tea at the Burg - seems like that hotel is truly a "must see", although David is not into "High Tea" - do you think they might serve him a beer instead?

We're going to do the Heritage Tour--much more interesting unless you're into tall buildings with lots of glass . It'll be nice to see you again too -- do you still bring your own bloody mary mix, or have you trained the Regent bartenders? I'm not sure they'll serve beer at High Tea, but if my memory serves me, I think we had Champagne.

I was leaning toward the Heritage tour. I'm perusing all the shore excursions again now that they have the final offerings posted (I had a "tentative" list from the "previously offered" listings before they became finalized). I think my calendar shows we can start signing up next Tuesday. You can probably already sign up for yours since you are on the previous segment.
We do still place a special order for our Bloody Mary mix - some of the old bartenders used to do pretty good with making us a special mix, but alas, they are gone now or on other ships. If you like a very spicy Bloody Mary, we'll share with you! But there may not be a whole lot of Bloody Mary drinking going for us, especially on the second segment, as it is pretty port intensive, and we always like to take the morning excursions. We are signing up for 3 long, full day excursions on that second segment.
Edited to add: David WILL drink champagne in a crunch (especially if his only other option is "tea") although he prefers a good beer!
