Karen, we are definitely switching to this itinerary Auckland-Sydney in 2013. I'll be contacting B&K soon to make the change from our Oct/12 booking. We want to spend the month of Jan/13 down under. Will be in touch with the specific agent soon (hope she won't be annoyed with us!).

Is it my imagination (never was good at maths) but are the cruises from Australia to New Zealand (and vice versa) more expensive than others?

I think you are probably right about the cruises becoming more expensive, and I suspect it may have something to do with the fact that (as I'm sure you know) the Australian dollar has strengthened relative to the U.S. dollar over the last couple of years. Thanks for the graph Eugene. On my first visit to the US, the Aussie dollar was only worth 60c so anything above that is a bonus! On this last trip it was just over the dollar. It just doesn't seem to know where to go! Lee
