Just musing about trying Seabourn some day.
Wondering about how economical their air programs are, compared to Regent. Looking at their website, looks like air is quoted on an individual basis. Does this mean it's in the same ballpark as booking your own? Are there any deals on Business upgrades? (Looking at a TA, so would be looking at one-way air.)

I think you should look into it Wendy, lead the way and tell us!
Not many Seabourn people here, as you know, wish some would reply! I would love to try Seabourn, have friends doing just that in the fall on Spirit.

Wendy, I've never used Seabourn air so I can't answer your question but if there is anything else I can answer for you I will!

We have cruised Seabourn many times (over 130 days). I always price the cruise with and without air and end up doing it on my own. However, since I live in NYC I have a lot of direct flight options. If you need to make connections, Seaborn air might work for you.

Yeh Kathy, but the one I'm looking at doesn't have free air. We pretty much won't cross the pond any more in coach, so this is important to me.
We were looking at the April 2013 crossing. Attractive because it ends in Lisbon, and a week in Portugal in spring sounds lovely, and we'd only have one-way air (because we've started wintering in Florida.) Not sure we can take 9 solid days at sea on a brand new, unknown, ship, however.
Guess I'm going to have to ask Ngaire, or whoever her Seabourn specialist is here.

We took our first Seabourn cruise last fall on the Odyssey and loved it! There was no free air promotion on our sailing but we requested a quote from Seabourn's air department for business class air from El Paso to Venice and returning from Istanbul. We didn't like the first schedule they provided but they came back to us with another option at a slighter higher rate. The fare was just a bit cheaper than what we were able to book on our own and included the transfers. We were quite satisfied with the arrangements.

Thanks so much. This cruise is almost 2 years out, so I'm not rushing into anything, but I think it's a definite possibility for us.

Wendy, we used Seabourn biz class air on last fall's Rome to Ft. Lauderdale cruise on the Sojourn. We paid an extra fee (can't remember how much but around $200) to alter the air. We flew into Milan, met a guide for a 10-day tour of Northern Italy, then he took us to the ship at Civitavecchhia (sp?). I can't remember our exact airfare but it was reasonable or we wouldn't have booked it.

Keep an eye on those air deals, they change. The air we got with our Sept 12 Quest cruise was so good we thought they had made a mistake. They have since changed the advertised deal which makes us think it was a mistake. It was the difference between sailing with them and looking elsewhere.Silversea has always been our first choice but we think that this might be a good alternative with quality/prices almost equal.
