Had a few emails when I got back asking me if I will do Nile again. Before I went on this trip I thought this would be the only time I would do a land trip to Egypt. Land is so much harder.
However this trip was really wonderful and the tour company and guides are so good they made it so much easier than I had anticipated. I actually look forward to going back and spending time in Egypt with them again.
So this is a potential for March 2012 depending on how many are interested. Let me know if you have an interest either here or by email.

Definitely would be interested. Depending on date (if it were same time as spring break), our 2 sons could come. That would be awesome, esp since the oldest is fluent in Arabic and lived in Cairo.

Carol and I could not recommend this trip with Ngaire and Ken more. If you have ever wanted to go to Egypt this is the only way to do it. The guides were the best the accomodations outstanding. Overall an outstanding experience.

Ngaire - If there was only a way to join the group for the Jordan portion of trip. I know it's impossible, but a girl can dream!

First I need to be sure there is enough interest to do another trip. This is the type of program I do need to have sufficient numbers to make it work. About 20 - 30 people for Egypt with two guides so split into two groups of 10 - 15 plus a logistical person to handle the organization. I will have the same three men we had on Nile they all want to do another group with us.
Then I need to see how many want to do Jordan. Jordan would have to be about 10+ people to make it work. You could join but not sure it would be worth coming all that way just for Jordan. Probably wont be more than 4 - 5 nights at the most.
I was telling Ralph my normal policy of not taking a group until I have checked things out certainly applied to Jordan. Way too much driving in buses that could be avoided by flying between Amman and Aqaba. Did not understand the logistics and how there is NOTHING of interest between Amman and the Petra/Wadi Ram area. It would cost more but I think be well worth it.

It would be worth a HUGE amount of money to avoid that bus ride!

I am going to check out K & D to see what they offer for Jordan and also Anne suggested I look at Jordanian airlines to see what they offer. Also now watching American Experience on PBS. Need to get off.
