I know the brochure says we get an early "wake-up call" at Singita. What does that consist of? Mark's hearing isn't the best in the world, and I am totally deaf in my right ear. If I am sleeping on my "good ear" and somebody knocks lightly, we won't hear them.
Should we pack a travel alarm clock?
Gads, the list gets longer and longer!

We always take a travel alarm, especially if a wake up is going to be early - otherwise I worry we won't get the call.

Remember: your cell phone has alarm abilities, too!

Oh, Doug! Neither of us would figure out how to set our cell phone; the best we can do is answer it. I'll take a little alarm clock.

I cant remember. It is either by phone or a knock on the door. They usually wait when they knock until they hear a "thank you" or the phone is answered. I know the whole gang will break into your room and shake you awake!!!
Seriously I always carry a small alarm clock. I like to know what time it is if I wake up in the night. Mine has a little place on the top I push down and it lights up and I use it as a flash light when I need to make a necessary call to the ladies room during the night. Could not travel without that.

My clock at home has the meanest alarm on the earth. It also let me know when I woke that this is the middle of the night.

Are we all having trouble sleeping? Toss and turn and I'm hearing lions roar....they're waiting for us!

I'll take a little alarm clock. For some reason, I'm having visions of Marilyn using my bed as a trampoline (with us still in it), while whistling loudly enough to summon all the animals.

I've been waking up at 4:00 am the past couple of days. I must be getting prepared for the early mornings at Singita!

I turned in some hard earned Radisson tokens for a travel alarm clock/calendar combination. Only problem is figuring out how to use it. I have never travelled with an alarm clock (I always call for wake up call); I might bring one this time if I can figure it out.
