I apologize for breaking in on the reports of a fantastic trip, but could use some help. We are putting finishing touches on an African trip for next year - included are Rovos Rail from Pretoria to CPT with a 3 day stay there following our wildlife stops - Have stayed at Nellie and V&A, but have stayed at Cape Grace exclusively since it was built - it is a first class property. We are now considering Rad - why? Business rooms have almost 2X the space of Loft Terrace rooms at CG at half the price!
Question: No mention was made of the walk from Rad to the waterfront - too far? Security concerns? Boring walk? All of the above? Who walked rather than be driven?
Thanks for observations.

Hi Ted:
I am at the Radisson right now. The business rooms are the way to go. Very large and spacious with an ocean front view and balcony.Breakfast compares with Cape Grace excep no bowls of expensive berries.
Not as convenient as the Cape Grace. The shuttle runs every hour which is really not often enough. Walking is about 15 or 20 minutes. Just fine during the day but I would not do it at night. However, a taxi from the waterfront is only about $3 so we have been doing that rather than walking or worrying too much about making the shuttle.

Thank you for your prompt and, as always, complete response - think we will go for the Radisson. Let's hear 3 cheers for the strengthening of the dollar against the Rand - dropped to under 13 cents today!
Ted
