Is anyone planning on arriving in Tromso before the embarkation on August 2?

We're arriving on July 30 and staying at the Radisson Blu Hotel

Brayden and I arrive two nights before boarding. Do not have the info with me on NILE but we are booked at the Radisson in the city center . That may be the same as you. Will post late when we return from NILE.

Just to update as promised. Brayden and I arrive at 6:10pm from Oslo. Staying at Radisson SAS Hotel Sjogata 7- PO Box 928 N-9259 Tromso, Norway. We will be there the nights of 7/31 and 8/1. Plan to do the cable car and Polar Museum for sure. The SAS is located in the city center. We may try to do an exhibit called Polaria and Polstjerna but not sure about transport to those locations.

The Radisson SAS and Radisson Blu are the same hotel. Not sure what the correct name is probably both. Maybe we could do dinner the night of 8/1.

That's the same address. I think Blu is a group within the Radisson SAS, like Courtyard is to Marriott. Perhaps any interested in dining together could meet in the hotel bar between 6:30 & 7:00pm on the 1st. Along the waterfront near the Arctic museum is a restaurant with a lot of outdoor seating that is great for lunch. Their cream of whale soup is delicious.

We'll be there the night before departure, Jim & Ralph. Look forward to seeing you again.

Gary will be our official 'cream of whale' soup taster.

Cheers, Anne
