Keep the gossip coming...we love it! Glad to read about Portofino's being gone and the dining variety they will offer for everyone on the DC.

Jim that is good news about Portofino. That sounds like a great plan. It was time for a change up there and this sounds perfect. Sorry to hear about Jarle, hopefully he will be back when we board. We have been buds with him since the Song of Flower days. Captain McNeill is delightful too, both are wonderful.

Keep up the news - love hearing from you.

We also had a good day in Alexandia. We got a private guide (from the ship) so we could walk at our own pace. And it really worked for us. We went to Pompei's Pillar, the catacombs, the roman ruins (theatre and baths), the gardens and palaces and the fort...all in 4 hours. But it wasn't rushed and we spent enough time at all places.

We ate in Portfino's last night and did enjoy the atmosphere and the food. Looking forward to the changing themes as we continue the journey.

One thing has struck me so far about the staff...they are even friendlier than I remember! Most introduce themselves and make sure they know your name if they haven't met you before. There are smiles all around and the service has been fantastic. This is really a happy ship!

So far there is a good supply of fresh berries (bluberry, raspberry, strawberry, black berry & lingonberry) that we'll try to leave a few for Ngaire when she boards. This morning (Sunday) there was a self serve caviar station in the portofino and overall the food has been excellent. Last night a group of us had pre ordered fois gras as an appetizer and, instead of the ususal one slice, they brought a platter full so we each had 5 or 6 slices each. It was heavenly. Time now for lunch where 8 of us will have beef tatare made for us at the table.
Our trivia team which includes 2 LCT and 2 other B&K clients have won trivia the last 3 days.

So far, this is all good news. I also love fresh berries and go on a hunt, myself. Great news. Also, I am glad to hear about the Portofinos rotating themes. Otherwise, there would not have been a lot of options for those on such a long voyage (especially those that never liked Portofinosto begin with).

I'm glad everyone is having a good time.

Jim, that is good news. Perhaps you should remind the proper person BEFORE the ship arrives in CPT that they might pay particular attention to reprovisioning BERRIES. There will be no opportunities past Namibia, and it's a long way to RIO. Since the Princess Ngaire will be aboard, and this group has learned all sorts of ways to go after berries on another line that Regent contracts, might just be best to stock up a lot of them! She doesn't like MWF schedule, or an only at breakfast/dinner schedule.

Loving your posts, and not surprised that you two are on the winning Trivia teams most days.

Berries, rack of lamb and dover sole I am ready for these wonderful treats. Who is the dining room manager? Best remind him as Olivia suggests to be sure there is plenty onboard - great thought Olivia.

YEAH for the trivia wins - LOVE to see LCT'ers excelling at trivia. Keep up the good work!

I bought a tee shirt in Africa with trivia in mind with all the things one needs to know. A dazzle of zebra, a leap of leopards, a raft of hippos --- any of these I will know in the future. Wont wear that shirt TO trivia though!

Oh, good Lordy, I hope Regent has learned the lesson about you TAB lovers, and stocked up before leaving the states! My dear friend Deb at home is in a constant quest for that beverage. I think it must be the caffeine.

Joanna, I have not even requested the Tab for December but should since it is only Caribbean. I am afraid of confusing them since hubby likes the Diet Coke/Coke Light. Never heard of Tab Zero, only Tab Energy. Never tried it. Don't want to.
