Not that I'm overly eager (yeah, right), but I am so wanting to get a jumpstart on planning a cruise for 2007!

I find myself really missing planning a cruise and discussing those plans with my LCT friends. We are taking a river cruise this year and there's not a whole lot going on on the CC River cruise boards! Very lonesome with no one to share my enthusiasm :(

So, 2007 RSSC itineraries...Please hurry!

If we went back about a year in time, wouldn't we get a strong sense of deja vue? (Or is that vu?)

You could start planning which segment(s) of the 2007 WC you are taking. LOL.

Actually I think they will be out in about a month that is the last I heard, cant count on that though, remains to be seen but that would be earlier than last year.

Betty,

You're my kind of dreamer!

Good news if they will be out in about a month, Ngaire. I'm going through RSSC cruise withdrawal!

Denise,

For 2007 my budget might only be a cruise to Catalina on the Catalina Flyer! You might be able to join us for that one!

Hey, Jim..I noted in a "sea mail" from Marcie that the Mariner (South America Grand Circle and AMAZON) and the Voyager (World Cruise) will both depart FLL the same day, Jan. 9th, and will both be at Paradise Cays private island at the same time...talk about a beach party!

Well, RSSC (if you are listening!) let's hope so! I remember when I was on Voyager Shakedown early March 2003 I was having the cruise consultant print out itineraries for me because they were not out. Last year was SO late. Lets hope that they will come out soon. I think Silversea, Seabourn and maybe even Crystal have theirs out now. Nice to be able to meet the competition.

I don't know about Seabourn as they're not on my "radar" but Crystal and Silversea are out.

Denise,

I agree! I have an onboard booking that I need to roll so I'm going to take a very quick look once those schedules come out to do that. We will not be able to cruise on Radisson in 2006 so hopefully it'll be 2007!

Have you already targeted an area where you want to go?

Ajax.
Yes I also had heard that. I think Debbie Tate told me. That will be something.
We are looking at doing something with Debbie of Legends of Puerto Rico (part 2) while there. We did a morning tour with her last February and I asked her if she maybe had something different we could do. She told me to let her know when we get a little closer to the date. Interested??

We are absolutely interested in any local tours that you find information on. We try to investigate independent tour options for every port, and we have always had great success with alternative providers, both in cost and in quality. Let me know what info you find!

Hi Maria,

We are interested in an itinerary that includes Nice or Monte Carlo, either at the beginning or end, so we can spend a few days seeing Provence region. The British Isles itinerary is also up there on our wish list. We would then do a pre or post touring the English countryside. Hopefully, we will find a cruise that offers a great itinerary and excellent pricing (2-for-1, free air - I can dream, can't I?).

Which itineraries are you considering? Would be nice to sail with you if you're interested in the itineraries I've mentioned.

We., too, have an on-board booking that needs to be shifted, as well as Goldpoints that can be redeemed for $400.

Hi Denise,

Unfortunately I'm constrained to the summer months due to the kids' schedule. So I have to start by just looking at the summer cruises. We have already done the Baltics and Alaska, so I don't think we'll repeat those for a while. Eventhough we have done a Med cruise I wouldn't mind doing that again, especially if it had different ports. But in Radisson, the Med cruises are usually in late spring/ early fall.

So, I'm not sure what we'll be able to find that will interest us. Maybe a reposition cruise like the one Ngaire is escorting this year in August from Dover to Monte Carlo. If they were to do a Norway cruise again, I would consider that too. It was so special that I wouldn't mind doing it again especially if it was R/T from Copenhagen rather than from Iceland.

It will be really exciting to get the 2007 itineraries and figure it out!

Lots of choices, Maria. We prefer fall or spring, but end of Aug. may work for us, too. Remains to be seen when the schedule comes out.

We really enjoyed our Baltics cruise last year, as well as our Alaska cruise, which was our first RSSC experience. The Med, however, is something very special! We would go, again, in a heartbeat! I really do like that Dover to Monte Carlo itinerary!

Denise,

The Monte Carlo to Dover on Voyager was a SSS discount of 10% this year and was 35% off plus free air. One of the best values. Hopefully the itinerary will be the same or close to it next year.

Denise,

Who knows? Maybe we'll be able to find a cruise in common! :)

Kathy,

I'm hoping as well! As I have mentioned , I love the itinerary. Some of the ports I'm very familiar with from land trips. But I wouldn't mind repeating them in a cruise!

Curious, but, most cruise lines have had schedules through March/April '07 since Sept/Oct!

Most are now preparing schedules through Sept/Oct of 2007 for release in March.

Why is Radisson the only cruiseline not to have published schedules for next Jan/Febr/March, excluding the world cruise?

And perhaps because even Radisson is having a problem figuring out pricing this year. It will be interesting to see the pricing, especially in light of the "well placed" reports we have been receiving of late that Radisson will be "all inclusive" (like Silversea) in '07.

Thanks,
Richard

Who knows why they are always so late, and far behind the other luxury lines? They have ALWAYS been behind them! Pricing? Silversea comes out with ultra-high pricing, and then reduces them as the cruise approaches to fill the ships. I get e-mails all the time from them with new offers. RSSC comes out in the beginning with some deals and incentives that later get pulled. None of us really knows the mindset of the bean counters and marketers. Just speculation.

But this year I think RSSC may have priced too high some of their itineraries, namely the Baltics. In the last week I have received 2 e-mails(one of them today) announcing deals( free air or $1,000 off) for their July and August Voyager and Navigator Baltic cruises
I'm not surprised. I think the initial prices were outrageous.

Maria:

Those $1000 off deals or free air have been around since schedule was announced; nothing new. Be careful when you see a "special" from Radisson because it might be the same price (or worse) than was originally announced.

Marc,

That's strange. They weren't in Ngaire's website until yesterday or today. When I got the first RSSC e-mail like a week ago I checked and they weren't reflected in her website so I thought it was something new.

When I booked our August British Isles cruise several months ago, the free air or $1000 off was offered; I've checked periodically and it's always shown up. Sometimes RSSC puts the offer in an obscure place on the itinerary site.

I would hope that unlike the airlines, if we have booked, and prices go down, we will automatically get the decrease. I have found decreases in air prices, and all the airline does is send me (AFTER I call and ask for it) a voucher credit which I can only use if I physically go to the airport to use it and book another flight. Irritating.

As an aside, I alread told Pam her new photo is awesome, but Joanna, we have some pretty awesome ones of you aboard the SA segment! You are both "killer chix" in my book!
