I spoke with someone at Leopard Hills and Madikwe Hills today regarding phone service at those two games parks. Here's the scoop:
Leopard Hills -
There is good cell phone service there, with a nearby Vodacom tower. Thus, anyone with a SIM card (and GSM900 phone) that supports Vodacom is fine. (Cell phones can only be used in private suites, not in public areas, thank heaven.)
One can also make toll-free 0800 access calls from the suite telephone to use calling cards which have South Africa access numbers.

Madikwe Hills -
No South African cell phone service, although it may be possible to get service if your phone can access Orange from Botswana.
