Were any of the ROARers in room #1 at Mateya ? We loved it !! That is such a fabulous lodge. Someday I hope we can visit Lion Sands too. At least we get to see Savanna in November.

Doug and I were in room 1. We sure lucked out. No stairs to climb! It was so lovely. I think all the rooms are virtually the same at Mateya except for pictures and view.
Lion Sands rooms are the same as well except for views, but all are on the river.

Marcie, Mona and I were in room 1 when we were there last year. Did you get a chance to meet Susan?
I don't remember which room we were in at Lion Sands but it looked exactly like Leslie's. Tom.
