Someone has probably already listed this website. But, I'm watching tonight and remembering our wonderful safari. http://www.wildearth.tv/home

Thanks for posting this site, Donna. I watched this watering hole a lot before GAME. It's good to go back and revisit. I just went back to the Madikwe Hills site to see what our good folks there are seeing these days. It's amazing to see all that green now. It sure was a wonderful time, wasn't it, GAMErs?

Besides the watering hole, they also do podcasts from actual game drives. Be careful, it will suck up all your time! South Africa is really green now. I bet that makes it much harder to see some of the game.

Gals, doesn't it seem so long ago. How I would kill for that 4:00 wake up call...for something fun!!!
I miss it terribly, and you gamers too!

I miss it, too, Cindy. How's the Amarula supply at your house holding up?

If you have a Total Wine store in your area, check them out. Ours has Amarula, but it's $17.00 for a .75 liter bottle.

Total Wine is where we found Amarula, too. Enjoyed a glass or two over the Christmas holidays.

Central Liquors in DC is the place to buy it here. A little in my coffee is a nice way to start a Sunday morning.

Does anyone know if amarula cream should be refrigerated? I haven't done so, but then I have a fairly small bottle that reduces in content every Sunday, so it may not last long enough to become a problem. But with the cream in it, I wonder.

Crystal...googled your ? here is what I found:

Q- Should I refrigerate my bottle of Amarula Cream after opening, and how long will it remain fresh?
A- Stored under the proper conditions a bottle of Amarula Cream (opened or unopened) should be good for approximately two years. We do recommend that you store unopened bottles in a cool, dry place away from direct light, and that you refrigerate Amarula Cream after you have opened the bottle.

Q- How is Amarula Cream made?
A- Amarula Cream is made from the fruit of the Marula Tree that only grows wild, in the warm, frost-free regions of subequatorial Africa. Marula trees cannot be cultivated, and the fruit has to be picked when the fruit ripens during the height of the South African summer, mid-January to mid-March. The fruit is then distilled into liquor that is then added to the highest-quality cream to make Amarula Cream.

Thanks, Wes. I somehow doubt it's going to be around for two years :) But the opened bottle is now in the fridge.

We have had Amarula on our last two trips.

On Viking Ken saw it in the airport and bought a bottle. The F&B guy saw it in our cabin and said we have some more of that. Bought up three more bottles, then we had four bottles. We all drank after dinner in the Observation lounge. When we left Viking there was still one bottle over.

When we boarded CAPTAINS in our cabin was the one bottle of Amurula. The butler we had the cruise before saw our name on the passenger list and placed it in our cabin. It lasted two nights in the observation lounge.

GREAT STUFF I like it over ice.

Yum, I still have one little miniature that I pilfered from Singita sitting on my vanity in fond memory of ROAR I, first time I ever tasted it!

Ngaire, we've got a few original and future ROAR'ers on DRAGON. Maybe you'd better put in a special order!!

Olivia, I have one little bottle left over from GAME. Guess I am saving it for a special occasion.

I wonder if the Mariner has any Amarula? Hmmmmm, would be lovely in coffee or by itself in the cool Alaska weather.
