Leopard Hill is SABI SANDS exactly like Singita. Excellent.
Kings Camp land is shared with other properties. GREAT leopard.

SABI SANDS - Singita and Leopard Hills is a higher priced area for camps than TIMBAVATI - where Kings Camp are located.

Impossible to define as far as sheets/each meal/rangers etc are concerned.

Kings Camp $416

Kings camp is nice BUT it cannot compare but it is less than 50% of the price of Leopard Hills.

With that much difference you cannot expect the same level of anything, service, food or accommodation. Best rangers tend to be at higher cost camps but we did have an excellent ranger at Kings camp when we went.

I have been there it is fine, the rooms are nice you can see the pictures. No big deck, no looking down into the bush it is flat and looks like a nice high class property not a game camp. The food is good not as many choices. A great value go with lower expectations.

With Kings camp as the base price.
$1300 more for Leopard Hills per person

This is JUST ball park figures. I may have quoted these slightly differently in some emails it is impossible to pinpoint I just dont know - these are just guesses NOT quotes.


Value your big thing - go Kings Camp, I honestly think this property is the BEST VALUE in South
Africa. Not the BEST camp the BEST VALUE but still a very nice camp.

Trip of a lifetime experience you want dont mind spending the extra - go Leopard Hills

This is JUST IMPOSSIBLE to explain. The more I try the more confused people get.

Bottom line: You KNOW I AM A PRINCESS and a very spoiled princess at that.

I stayed at Kings Camp and I really liked it. Not Singita, but still really nice. They did the bath tub routine with the bubbles, candles and rose petals. The rooms are good, go look at the web site. EXCELLENT in fact. I have sent SO many people there. I have had one complaint, the woman did not like her ranger, I have had that same complaint about Leopard Hills and Singita too by the way.

Why it is priced so low I honestly dont know. It is a bargain - now that it is all inclusive even more than before.

What it lacks is the "feel" of a game lodge. Flat instead of raised on decks. Consider the savings and read my review on my web site. This is a lot of money difference here.

No matter where you go I am very confident of all these choices. I have now been to 48 game camps in South Africa. These properties are the ones I recommend the most. That means that I have negated MANY that I have seen as you can imagine.

I would rather stay at Kings Camp than Ulusaba for instance.

One other thought. I know the "group" is a wonderful thing BUT if some of you have a burning desire to go somewhere we do not chose such as Singita it is really not a terribly difficult thing to book you there instead of where the main group is going to be. I would not want 50 different choices floating around but about 3 or 4 would not be hard to handle.

I have one question. If we stayed at Mateya instead of M. Hills, would that negate the second "free" night? That part confused me.

Yes, if you stay at Mateya you lose that free night.

Leopard Hills, Kings Camp, Madikwe Hills are all part of "Seasons in Africa"

Birkenhead House and Royal Malewane are all part of the "Liz Biden collection"

Mateya is not part of any collection.

Well, we want to stay as long as possible, so my vote would be for Leopard Hills/ Madikwe Hills, I guess. What happens if/when M. Hills runs over? We strongly want to stay in the Sabi Sands area, if at all possible, for the second segment.

I'm putting these questions here because I think they are more "general interest" than some others I've had.
