I know there is another post about this Wildearth webcam but I couldn't find it. They are doing a live safari right now and just came across this:

I check into the site often. It's the next best thing to being on a game drive if you watch at the right time!

That's great, Karen. I was watching the safari today, too, but they were just bouncing along in the jeep.

Beth, I can understand what you are saying about the "bouncing along" on safari on www.wildearth.tv ! However, being in Africa, you can expect the same thing on some days when you go there!

That's OK, Olivia. Just to be in Africa and on safari will be exciting.

This warthog was hanging around the watering hole today. A springbok was close by also.

Very cool, Beth! How did you get the close up view? I have never noticed a zoom button before.

Karen, I had nothing to do with the great shot. Just at the right place at the right time!! Someone at the lodge was working the zoom on the cam. Lucky me.....

Went to this site around noon & they were on the evening drive. SUddenly came on a leopard enjoying her kill. The video & audio quality were outstanding, and it was almost as good as being there.

The wateringhole was busy today with a group of springbok. Sounds like a windy day at the hole.

Someone at the camp was working on adding new features to the webcam. I was able to get this close up of a springbok.

It is my understanding that this camp is under negotiations to change to Seasons in Africa - the same company that operates Kings Camp, Leopard Hills and Madikwe Hills that I like so much. They will put millions of Rand into refurbishing the camp to bring it up to their standards and this could be another great place to use. Once the deal is done and the refurbishments are completed I will go look at the camp. How fun would that be for us to have a group there in front of their web cam from Africa. It will take a while to get all that done --- hmmm 2011 or 2012 for those who will have not been yet or want to return.

Looks like some cape buffalo at the watering hole tonight.
