Last seats Chuck and Valerie!!! Now 10 people per van.
I think we will make both vans 6 hours with departure at 9.00 am.
Now you need to decide where you want to go and what you want to see. If one group wants to go to the Sheep Farm or Gannet Colony we could move people around within the vans to try to accommodate everyone's wishes.
Majority will rule with a vote closer to the time and if anyone does not like the itinerary they can always pull out.
I have clients who are not LCT that I am sure would take their spot if I offered it.
YOu have plenty of time to make these choices I will just confirm the vans now and we will give them the itinerary later.

I heard back from my operator in N.Z. For the 11 seater van for 6 hours the cost is $948NZ a van. Same price exactly as the 4 hour or 8 hours van just adjusted to 6 hours.
They do need payment in advance and prefer by one credit card rather than multiple cards. I am going to charge it to my credit card and then once I get the amount in US dollars when it clears my card and you can just pay me back. I went ahead and told her to run it now. The rate of exchange has been diving and you never know what it is going to do but I have been told it is expected to drop even more. So I thought I would lock in the exchange rate now.
Hope that is okay with everyone it was the easiest way to handle it.
No reason for anyone to pay me now we will just wait until the cruise is paid off so we are sure who will be in each van. Someones plans may change.

Did anyone notice that we do not leave Auckland until 11:00 pm on 12/03? Gosh. That means we really have another day to see things if we wanted to.

Yes lots of time in Auckland you will have a good chance to enjoy the city. Particularly since the ship is parked right at the end of downtown, very convenient.

Is the ship close enough from the hotel to walk to?

Not really. The Sky City hotel is at one end of downtown and the ship is at the other. About 20 minutes but you cant do it with bags. The taxi fare wont be much.

I just received a travel book from Regent Noticed that on "LAMB" it shows that there will be a special complimentary tour for ALL passengers at Nuku Hiva (Taiohae). Does anyone have any ideas what this could be?

Last December the Nuka Hiva excursion was a little native market. There was a welcoming ceremony with the elders of the island doing a traditional dance. Then the young people did some amazing dances with. There was a pig roast with traditional side dishes served at long tables in the shade.
It was a lovely & memorable afternoon.

That sounds delightful, Jackie! Most of the time, Regent's complimentary excursions are wonderful. I'm looking forward to this.

Ngaire, I just signed on for this crossing and will be traveling alone. Can I join one of the vans? I have been to Aukland before and am pretty flexible as to what I want to do with the group. I made my own air arrangements but am staying with you at the hotel for two nights. Susan Walsh is my TA by the way! Looking forward to meeting you all soon. Arlene Port Washington, NY

Thanks all for the prompt welcome. I came off of the Navigator TAP cruise the end of April and decided I needed to cross all of the oceans at least once in my lifetime. I loved the crossing and the ship. I know from past experience that I will not be alone unless I want to be. Passengers on Regent are amazingly cordial as is the staff. LAMB will be my third Regent cruise. I can hardly wait till December! Looking forward to meeting all of you!
