In Skagway, we did the glacier heli-hike -- and it was FAR from hell! It was a wonderful heli ride to a drop off, then a 4 mile hike through the rain forest where we bumped into none other than Marilyn and Michael! We got to ride the White Pass Railroad back with them!! This is us hiking along the Skagway river: ![[Linked Image]](http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b26/seadogcg/RegentShipPictures083.jpg)

I love the photo on the glacier. The ice looks unreal and you look like you're floating. Very cool!
You just need the squirrel to pop up in you river photo, it'd be perfect :hello1:

Great pictures. It takes time to post these pictures I know but there is NOTHING like a picture to bring a thread on a cruise to life. The time is appreciated. I Love Sea Mail.

Wrote a post yesterday AM, but poof, it was gone.
Sitka was beautiful yesterday, Our sea otter excursion was one of the best this trip. Crystal, Lee, Michael, Karen, Julie, Kathy, Al, Nancy, Bill, Betty, Randy and I were the LCTers onboard for great views of sea otters, loads of eagle, humpback and grey whales and lions manes jelly fish. Wonderful captain and guides onboard.
After returning to the ship for lunch, Alice, Al, Crystal and I hit the hot tub.
The B&K Party was great fun, then a group of us went to Signatures.
I am up early this AM for the sail in to Hubbard Glacier, then the Gold, Plat and Tits Event, a bow viewing of the glacier. Right now on the ship webcam is a beautiful view of a sunrise, so must get ready to the Observation Lounge.
Can’t believe we have to get off the Mariner tomorrow. Sad, sad…..
This has been a super cruise with wonderful friends.

This has been an absolutely amazing cruise. We've been so blessed with good weather, great excursions (as Donna said, some of the best I've ever been on), not to merntion fantastic company (thanks for the B&K get together Ngaire and Karten). It's been awesome.
I don't know how to post photos, or I'd post one of the calving Hubbard Glacier. Hey - Karen and the others are on board, and THEY know how to, I'll see if I run into them!!
But the bottom line is - this has been one of my favourite cruises EVER!
Life is a journey, not a destination.

I can't even begin to say how stunning the glacier was this morning. Terry Breen said it was the best weather day in her 21 years. The last two days has been crystal blue skies and no wind. We were out this morning with just a hoodie and the sun kept us toasty warm. No Aurora Borealis last night but Terry said our odds are even better tonight to view it. Dinner in Compass Rose tonight and we special ordered Kin crab legs for 6 so we can have them one last time. They may be the best I have ever had, big fat and sweet, yum!

Once again - ditto to all of the above. The scenery this morning was absolutely spectacular and the weather perfect. Just wish there was more of that in store for us! I'm very apprehensive about letting all the LCTers go - I've had so much fun with them. Betty has promised to keep me company though.
Ngaire: Is it too late for you to organise for them to stay on board until Osaka? I've been told the ship will only be half full! My second request is for me to stay on until Sydney - don't want much do I?
Michael took some great photos of the whale watching and will post the link soon. Yours truly doesn't have a clue how to do it. He missed the calving this morning but caught the 'splash'.

I can't say anymore about this morning except to say Wow and double Wow.
Will be sorry to see the Mooser's leave tomorrow. Lee and Betty, what will we be calling our seamail? "After Moose" "Moose-less""Beyond Moose" "More than Moose" or "Without Moose"?

Hard to add anything more to say how wonderful this has all been. I am happy I will be on for one more leg but will definitely miss those leaving us. The computer man is going to help me tomorrow transfer photos from camera to laptop. It worked at home - but I'm doing something wrong on the ship. My nothern lights time was 2:30 AM and only had a cresent moon and the milky way. Will try again tonight. Clay's brother and his wife due to arrive for ship's tour and lunch around 11 tomorrow. Looking forward to that - haven't seen them in 3 years. Photos to follow at some point. Soon, I hope.

Thanks for the wonderful sea mail everyone. For those that remain on the ship...enjoy.
I did an Alaskan cruise in early to mid September back in 2005 and we had amazing weather, particularly at Glacier Bay...just beautiful like Karen's terrific picture.

Have truly enjoyed the sea mail and photos. Makes me want to do a 3rd cruise of Alaska. Hope those of your remaining on board will keep the sea mail coming. Want to hear about Kodiak and Dutch Harbor, as we haven't been to those ports on previous visits. Safe travels to all who return today!

Donna, it will definitely be "Beyond Moose" --even though you'll miss your Moose buddies that are getting off, you have a spectacular trip ahead. Can't wait to read your seamail from Petropavlovsk and some of the Japanese ports. Kodiak is interesting also -- we met some fun Coast Guard people when we were there. We didn't get to go to Dutch Harbor because of the famous "Pefect Storm" we ran into in the Bering Sea -- hope you have better weather than we did!!

Randy and I are still in the Hilton Regent Room in Anchorge. We are beat, but happy. It's been a long day. As we were riding away from the Mariner, we waved goodbye to Betty from her balcony.
Saw our friends, John and Pinkie as they were checking out of the hotel going on the train to the ship. It was a fun reunion for Crystal and me.
Had a fun lunch at the Glacier Brewhouse and a quick stop in Artique a lovely gift shop.

Randy and I are on our second leg, left Anchorage at 1:10am. Horrible sleeping, but have free Delta wifi. Thankful for that.
Randy and I sat with Nancy and Bill (Anna B's friends) at the airport and taught them Pooch. That was a fun way to pass the time.
Like Karen, when we get home, we will probably hit the bed.

Sounds like we missed a rough ride last night. Hopefully that won't continue. We arrived home a little bit ago. Trying to unpack and daydreaming about all the fun we had last week. Love the MOOSIES we met and hope they all arrived home safely ( except those still on Mariner). :lct: Kathy

Randy, you're a Bronze god!!
Beth, Randy, Crystal, Anna B, Mr Anna B, Charlene, the other Wendy, Karen, Julie, Suzie, Marilyn, et al, why did we get off the ship? Oh well. We're home safe, and we can enjoy the Beyond Moose sea mail now without having to sleep with our patio furniture.
Loved cruising with you!!!!

I guess the only good thing about getting off the ship is that I can quit overeating. I just got on the scale and I gained 5 lbs. Good thing it was only a week long cruise! I think that was the first time I ever gained weight on a cruise before. Either I am getting old or the food was too good to pass up! I think it is a combo of the two.
I got up this morning and made coffee only to find the 1/2 1/2 was spoiled, I knew then that the party was over ;)

Well, I gained 3 Lbs and Alice lost 1.

Kim, What a welcome home gift. You and Alice did so well on the weight thing due to all your "exscream" excursions!!! I will weigh in on the doc's scales on Monday. Have 3 days to recover before facing the music. Back on my diet bandwagon already. Miss all that great food and liquids on the Mariner.
