Going on our first cruise next week, so here's another ignoramus question. The fare is supposedly inclusive of tips, but I've found that usually in such situations (as in a restaurant in France which is "service compris") something is generally expected albeit at a lesser level than if tips were not included. I want to do what is normal and reasonable and would appreciate advice. Thanks. Jeremy.

Jeremy,
On Regent, no tipping really does mean no tipping. If you have extraordinary service from any of the staff members be sure to mention them on your evaluation/comment card at the end of the cruise. This really means a lot to them to get praised by passengers and the higher-ups pay close attention to these comments. Also if you desire, you can make a $ donation to the "crew fund" which greatly helps ALL of the crew!

Jeremy, Marcie is so right (she has sailed MANY nights on Regent) - they really mean no tipping! I was amazed at the level of service on our first Regent cruise last year - with no tipping! Have a wonderful cruise! :)
