I have had many requests to do an escorted trip on Silversea as some of you want to try this line. I think really if we were to do this the new ship the Silversea Silver Spirit is the ship to use. I think it best to try a shorter and less expensive cruise for the first time and if people wish they can lengthen their trip with time pre or post.
We have some time in June and am contemplating escorting a cruise on the new Silversea Spirit on June 18, 2011.
Itinerary Lisbon, Sun Portiamo, Cadiz, Gibraltar, Malaga, sea day, Palma De Mallorca, Barcelona.
This itinerary has great cities for a pre or post stay and also includes Gibraltar that Regent seldom visits.
Fares are 60% off brochure price and start at the vista suite at $4893 (with port tax) per person. The air varies depending on your gateway city but is either $0 - $499 pp round trip. Business add on from $1998 to $3199 pp.
Post here or shoot me an email if you have any interest. Most of you are already pretty booked up for 2011 but this is a possiblility if there are enough people considering it to make it worthwhile doing. A small group of 5+ couples would work we do not need a big group of people.

Let me talk to Greg about this - we may want to join in. I see that this itinerary also has 5% Venetian Society savings for past SS cruisers. Free economy air from DFW, as well.
It's been awhile since we've been on SS and haven't tried Spirit but would love to try it. Oh, and it encompasses our 21st wedding anniversary too!

Not to be snarky, Ngaire, but it's not the Silversea Spirit, it's the Silversea Silver Spirit, or just Silver Spirit. Identifying it as such might help avoid any confusion with the Seabourn Spirit. Just for giggles and even though it's short notice, you might want to consider the 12/2 or 12/11 Silver Spirit Caribbean cruises(9 days)from FLL-Barbados or Barbados-FLL. They're both 60% off and both include free air. There is currently a good bit of space available according to Julie. You'd have the added advantage of a cocktail party in our suite during the cruise.

Cant do anything in that time frame Doug, even though a party in your suite is tempting. Doing New Zealand late November, a small surgery for Ken in December and the FIESTA/FUN January 3rd. Only possible time is June 2011.
Sorry about that I will change my post to Silversea Silver Spirit you are of course 100% right.

We will be on the Silver Spirit in November and, while we don't expect to be doing a comparison with Regent, will be looking at how smoking affects those of us who do not smoke. Will post when we get back. If it is a good experience (which we expect), we'll probably book another cruise as they have some great itineraries.
