The Cabanas have been priced at $50 per day if you take them for the whole trip..(there are only 8 of them)and may be pre booked..
If there are any available at sailing time they are $50 port days and $100 for sea days..In essence if you buy the whole package you will get the port days free..
These prices are tentative and will be confirmed shortly.

I wonder if that means you get them any time or do you still have to reserve your time when you get on ship and also how long a time would one get ? I mean is it going to be a timed thing with someone ringing a bell for you to leave?
Can't wait to hear how they are going to work this out.. I definetly see a problem with them already. ( As in how many "packages" will they pre-sell ?)... and all the rest...... :D

If you pre-purchase them for the whole trip..they are yours Claudia, personally I would think this would be the way to go...as far as on a day to day package, I would imagine 24 hours..maybe you should buy the bell and you can have the job of ringing it..and I will be your relief!!
LOL

I can see that there could be some very unhappy sailors who find out that they can't get a cabana..don't you think?
Yep... love the bell idea Jan.. but would be ringing it for bar service from my cabana.. wink

Claudia or Jan, how is a "cabana" different from a regular old deck chair? Is it something like those Balinese beds they have on Sea Dream? (I think for no charge) I tried to find out on the Oceania website, but no help there. Pretty cabin pictures, though, as soon as you get to Penthouse level. Loved the looks of the main Dining Room and many other public areas! Claudia, that OS that you had is to DIE for!

Hi..There are 8 cabanas built on deck 11..they are like the cabanas you see at hotels or on the beach..in resort areas..metal fittings covered with a sailcloth (I believe) each one will be stocked with water (free) have a butler assigned to get drinks or food and have all kids of lotions and towels for your use..I imagine the biggest problem will be there are not enough of them..there are balinese beds on deck 10 by the pool at no charge on a first come basis..they too are very nice..these are real luxury!!

‘Sexy’ private cabanas debut on Nautica
2/12/2005
________________________________________________
more cabana:

Oceania Cruises’ Nautica debuted with a new feature: eight private cabanas with a host of amenities. Located forward on the ship’s top deck, the cabanas are available for daily or full-voyage rental.
Each cabana features a double Balinese sun bed surrounded by white curtains. ‘They’re very sexy,’ said Oceania evp Bob Binder.

Passengers may order from the Waves Grill menu, and treats delivered throughout the day include iced towel wraps, fruit skewers, ice cream and afternoon tea. Those who book a full-cruise cabana package get extras such as a complimentary 10-minute chair massage, a 25% discount on Oceania Spa by Mandara services performed in the cabana on port days, and a cabana bag with sun care products, visors, towels and other items.

The cost of reserving a cabana is $50 on port days and $100 on sea days. Full-voyage package pricing varies depending on the cruise.

Cabana update:
Nautica – has them

Regatta – Are already built; will be finished out and furnished for the 12/22 cruise

Insignia – April ’06 (First European Cruise)

All three ships have The Patio – some finishing details need to be put in place on Regatta.

I called to book a cabana on a Nautica sailing the other day and unfortunately they are not in the system yet to be able to book. They are hoping to have it set up for reservations to book them shortly.

Hi Candice,
I think that it is the area they made into the gorgeous lounge place on Nautica ( pictured)..which I suppose will be on all the ships..but maybe not? It is where they used to have ping pong tables. In any event I think it looks like a great place to call the "patio" dahlink wink [Linked Image]

Claudia,
Thanks for posting the picture. It is my understanding that they were working on this area on the Regatta recently. It is supposed to eventually be on all the ships. It is a nice place on the pool deck on port side close to the bar when anyone can go and get in out of the sun and wind, have a drink if you like, rest, relax, read, etc. This may even be used for cocktail parties or small group get togethers. There is no charge and it is first come, first serve. They are supposed to to have service staff that will bring you a drink.
