Robert, I need you to start triple posting. For example, you can add a new post expanding on your above post for those that can't open the link.

With pleasure, Marc...
LOS ANGELES -- An investigation continued Tuesday into how a 9 mm bullet allegedly ended up in a hot dog a woman bought outside an Irvine Costco, police said.
The woman, whose name was withheld, made the purchase Sunday at the discount store at 115 Technology West, said Irvine police Lt. Jeff Love.
Officers called to the scene about 3:30 p.m., along with Costco officials, checked all the other hot dogs at the concession stand and found them devoid of foreign objects, Love said.
"My understanding is that the hot dogs they sell at Costco are Hebrew National brand that are the 'gold standard' in the industry," Love said.
The hot dogs are not touched by human hands, they are prepared under Kosher requirements with an "extra" high standard of cleanliness and the products are X-rayed before they leave to make sure there is nothing in them, like slivers of metal from machines, Love said.
"It appears it is highly unlikely a hot dog would leave the factory with a bullet in it," he said.
There also seems to be no indication of unrest at the store, such as a terminated employee or labor dispute to prompt someone to put the bullet in the hot dog deliberately, Love said.
Still, police will continue checking all possibilities, which includes a joint investigation with the Orange County Health Care Agency, Love said.
Detectives plan to interview a witness to the event, who was not talked to at the scene, Love said.
"We may never get to the bottom of it," Love said. "It's one of those things that doesn't really make sense."
Adding that I in no way think Hebrew National could be responsible for this frightening occurance. They are the only dogs allowed in my home...

One, I had no idea that Costco hot dogs were Hebrew National ... but they are pretty good. And two, I had no idea that hot dogs were X-rayed before they left the factory to check for metal. That's amazing. :)

Masaki - just about everything is either x-rayed or sent thru a metal detector (or both) before it is packed for shipping. You don't even want to know what they do to our produce before it gets to us...

It's a wonder that we just don't glow internally from all the irradiated food that we consume ... :)
