We'll be spending the night at the LAX Hilton on June 6 on our way to Tahiti( !!!).

We arrive at around 4 pm. If anyone is interested in getting together for dinner or just to say "Hi" I'd love to see my LCT friends.

Sheesh, I am never around when these get togethers happen! I would have loved to meet you Lauri but will be on my way to Greek Islands/Turkey cruise on the unRegent-like Celebrity cruiseline. BTW did you get a Terra Cotta warrior?

Not a full size one although they were beautiful. I actually scored my one and only deal in China with my minature warrior set. The ones in the gift shop were around $20. As we were leaving, a guy comes up to our group and offers an identical set for $5. One of the members of our group gets him down to $2. So I chime in and say I'll take one too. I have no idea where this man kept pulling the sets from. They just magically appeared from under his jacket!

My neighbor who has a daughter from China has some half size ones. I asked her where she got them, how hard was it to get them home etc.

It turns out she bought them at a mall when she lived in Iowa!!

Much to my dismay I saw some at Target last year in the garden center! But you could tell the difference if you looked. I am glad you love yours and "I got it in China" is a MUCH better story than "I got it in Iowa"!
