Hello! I just booked my first cruise and am SOOO excited. We are going on the Navigator to Bermuda in April, 2006. Any advise for a first-time cruiser?

Welcome to your first post and your first cruise, Lisa. No advice from me as I've not been but plenty of people will chime in here. I'm gonna be in your neck of the woods over Thanksgiving (St Albans, VT)!

Head on over to the intoductions thread and tell us a little about yourself.

Wonderful news Lisa.
You will not be sorry for booking your 1st cruise with RSSC.
Only negative is you will not be able to go on a lesser cruise line after this.

Welcome Lisa! The Navigator is a wonderful ship - we had our first Radisson cruise on the Navigator and still remember it very fondly. I hope that the recent storms in your area didn't cause any water damage!

Welcome to LCT, Lisa. I've been on several Radisson cruises but have not been on the Navigator or sailed to Bermuda. Lots of people here have and I'm sure they'll give you great advice.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I'm so glad I found this site!

Masaki, after a month-long drought, we have had an enormous amount of rain (+7 inches in 4 days). I live in southern NH where we have not had too much trouble with flooding, but the western part of the state was hit pretty hard. I must admit we are holding our breath and hoping this newest hurricane doesn't come up the east coast (some forcasters in our area are predicting it might). With the increased hurricane activity, I'm glad we chose a spring cruise instead of the fall!

Hi Lisa,

Welcome to LCT! Thanks for posting. You'll love the Navigator and the Bermuda cruise is wonderful. Because the ship docks overnight, the shipboard activity is a little different. People go off the ship to eat and be entertained in the evening. There are some Bermudian laws that don't allow the production shows on the ships to encourage that. To compensate, there was musical entertainment onboard those nights. We had a great time in Bermuda. We were really impressed with how clean everything was on the island. It was very beautiful, but, so is New Hampshire!

Please feel free to ask any questions you might have. There are a number of us here who have done that itinerary. We loved it.

Lisa,

We went on the same cruise in August of this year. We really had a great time. Feel free to ask any questions either here or private message.

Lisa - hoping that your state will be spared the hurricane's effects! Glad to hear that your house was OK - a friend's parents' house in Rhode Island was not as lucky ... :(

Hi Lisa,

We took our first cruise last fall. Ours was also on the Navigator to Bermuda. It was a storybooks and dreams vacation. It's very different to get off the ship, feel like you're still on it and give yourself over to the island to enjoy it without checking into a hotel.

You will love your suite, the restaurants and the other people onboard the ship with you. You may even get lucky and meet someone on this board who will be on the same cruise. It happened to us and we were old friends by the time we boarded.

Trish
