I'm hoping someone can answer a question that was asked of me over on the CC board by one of the other people who will be on the PG June 11 sailing. (Bill and I never took out a kayak last year because Bill was between physical therapy and surgery for a shoulder problem at the time of our cruise.) Are you only allowed to kayak around the ship in one of her kayaks or can you take it to land? My best guess is that there is a time limit that would probably restrict you to paddling around the ship, but I'd love to hear from someone who knows for sure. Thanks.

The kayaks are only allowed around the ship and are not to be taken to shore. I think this is more of a safety issue than a time issue.
When you take the kayaks out, they tell you 1/2 hour max. If no one is sitting there waiting to go on one, you could go longer. We always thought this was a short time but after you go around the ship once, you are usually pretty tired.
Hope that answers your question.
