I love Tucson, my sister lives there and one of these days I will too! (I don't keep paying for that Arizona medical license for nothing)The scenery, restaurants, resorts can't be beat.
The Charlevoix area is so pretty in the summer, I have very fond memories of spending weeks at my grandfather's cabin on Torch Lake as a child. Not so sure I'd like it in winter though. Heck I didn't even like winters in the Detroit area.

Lauri, it will be nice to have another LCT'er in Tucson. It's a lovely place to live so don't wait too long! And, when Karen moves to Phoenix, our group will really be fun.

Donna, I know Tucson is great. My parents used to live across from the Westin and I've spent several summers and many holidays there. I almost did my residency training at UMC. If only I didn't like my practice here so much, but I hope someday to call Tucson home.

Hello all,
It's 15 degrees outside, plowed the driveway last night and just came in from doing it this afternoon. We got about ten inches of the fun white stuff, I think this is the year in Chicago where we pay for the last couple of years.
Stay warm and dry..................Joe

Joe, I LOVE your dogs!! That's a great picture! We saw on the news about the Southwest jet going off the runway at Midway last night. YIKES! I know when Chicago gets snow, it can really be horrendous!! Stay warm!

I could handle the cold. I could even handle the snow (four inches last night). I just can't handle the darkness driving to work and the darkness driving home. At least a little more light will start arriving after Dec. 21.

I think snow is beautiful. It covers everything in a blanket of white. It's the great equalizer, all the harsh lines are erased by a blanket of smooth snow. It looks soft and smooth. I love looking at the snow covered trees, the big flakes of snow that land on your shoulder, kids building snow men, making snow angels or having snow ball fights, pulling a sled on a snow covered sidewalk, or riding down a snow covered hillside. I even like watching the snow storms coming, watching the swirling snow, or even the wind driven snow and the animal tracks in the snow.
But, there are days I think I wouldn't mind if I never saw snow again!

Gosh, February in Tucson sounds great! We got 8 inches. By 7am we only had 3 inches, but by 8am we had another 3 inches. We got a couple inches more until noon and then the sun came out. The weather folks were right for once.
It is so very cold...our driveway is a sheet of ice and it is 150 feet of a steep incline. Doug parked his car at the top of our hill. I don't think I'll be getting out easily.

Finally made it home to sunny California! Snow was beautiful - looks like the holiday season. We boarded 1/2 late and then pull inches away from the gate and waited for 3 hrs on the ground. I think it finally took off at 11 or so. Missed my connection in DFW but got on a later flight. All in all it made for a long travel day but can't complain- made it home safely. Hope all in the winter wonderland areas are keeping warm and safe!

Hard to imagine all the snow and cold around the US! At 10:15 our backyard thermometer is at 78 degrees....should easily hit 80! It has been getting cold at night though!(guess that's all relative) I would love to see the snow, but be able to leave it behind!
Miriam, glad you're home safe! We missed you at MIMOSA!
