I wanted to let you all know about the auction underway to benefit the cause to fight juvenile diabetes. There are so many good travel items being auctioned off as well as other amazing items. In the spirit of travel, I crammed a carry-on bag with autographed books and threw in a few travel coupons for discounts on United. Please consider a bid on this or the other items. Sue - you've got a funny blog. Killed a good hour or so poking around and following links. I also love Shari's Berries - remember going to one of their shops (I think up in Fair Oaks, if I remember correctly) to get Amanda some for Valentine's Day (back when we lived in Sacto). In return, 1-2 years ago, she mail ordered me some for Valentine's Day. :)

Thanks for visiting the blog, Masaki. I think fellow travelers get a kick out of reading stuff posted by a pilot with a sick sense of humor. But if you've traveled enough, it's stuff we can all relate to. And Shari's Berries are the BEST. I'd take them over flowers anyday!!!

Sue, I just have to say that ever since you came to LCT I've been lurking around your website and blog...so let me finally come out and say I think you totally rock!! I hope to meet you on a UA fight some day (I don't travel as much as I used, but enough to have finally regained status) and tell you in person what a wonderful person you are and truly someone to look up to!!
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends ~~M. Angelou~~

Sue, you are amazing with such talents as a writer as well as a pilot! My favorite is "Fly United and keep Susan employed!" I would love to meet you on a UAL flight one of these days!
BTW, my daughter Gina works for Johnson & Johnson and is very involved with the fight against juvenile diabetes.
