How does waitlisting in general work on Regent.
I have a H cabin assigned (669)but decided to go ahead and waitlist for a F or G. At this point the entire ship is waitlisted for the December 1, Voyager Sailing.
How do they work it? Do people already on the ship have a higher priority then people not yet on the ship? or does it just go by when you get on the list.
I've been told the waitlist for H, F, & G are not long... don't know what that means.
Final payment is do September 3rd or so, and of course we are already in a penalty phase. What has been your experience? Do I have a decent chance of clearing the waitlist?

Yes you have a good chance of another cabin clearing. No one can give you odds but I think you will clear.
You may increase your odds if you are willing to take a guarantee (no cabin assigned but you are assured that cabin or better). The problem with that is you may end up aft as you are now, just in a higher category.
Although things are always changing the normal rules are priority in this order.
1. Those already booked wanting to change cabins 2. Waitlists that are deposited. 3. Waitlists without money deposited.

Thanks, Ngaire, and yes, I do think I also listed the waitlist as GTY. Where ever I end up, I will be fine. Any cruise is good, and a cruise with unlimited chocolate... is .... well... beyond my comprehension!!
