Miss Lynn, her sister and our son, wife and daughter just got off the Disney wonder today. They were in adjoining 1 bedroom concierge suites. I had to stay home to take care of our old Westie, since we couldn't put him in a kennel at 16 1/2 and almost blind. Miss Lynn was extremely impressed with the concierge service and service throughout the ship in general. Also, and this is a great surprise, she said that the suite was the nicest suite she has ever stayed in. That's after 19 cruises on Radisson/Regent( penthouse and verandah suites) and Silversea( Grand and silver suites).

I'm not sure if this will be a hot topic as it is on CC but please know my intentions are good...
We have cruised on the Wonder, Magic, and Dream with an upcoming trip on Fantasy. Last time on Dream was in concierge 1 Br. Concierge on Dream is a bit different d/t having a dedicated lounge (food / beverage) as well as a dedicated sundeck which the Magic / Wonder do not have.
But despite our DCL love, we took our children to Alaska (5 and 7 at the time) on Regent Navigator in a Navigator Suite on a southbound cruise. They still consider their Regent cruise to be their best cruise ever.
Regent advantages were / are: The port times are better on Regent being longer than on DCL. Regent sailing allows you to see Anchorage and take the train (a highlight) to Seward. Regent stops at Sitka and DCL does not. The Sea Otter tour was one of the better ones we took for wildlife.
There is just so many outdoor activities from port / shorex to just natural beauty that I feel the kids would have been missing out to be cloistered in the kids clubs playing video games, baking cookies, or making flubber - as much as they enjoy all of those things on Disney.
I thought the Navigator suite was comparable to a concierge 1 Br on the Dream.
But after all it is Alaska, can you really go wrong? Best for a great cruise no matter.

I enjoy reading about other cruise lines and family vacation possibilities.
We were considering going on a 3 generation Disney cruise on the Wonder with our kids/grand kids and some day maybe we will.
I talked to 2 people who had done both Disney Wonder and Club Med Ixtapa and both said Club Med was better and a lot cheaper than Disney cruises.
We did go to Club Med Ixtapa over Thanksgiving and LOVED it. It's all inclusive (even liquor), our room was over 500 sq. ft and had a nice balcony. It was a great place for the 3 grand kids aged 1-5, great for ALL ages, good food too. It priced less than the Disney cruise even with air, though I loved the idea of cruising out of SoCa without any flights. What I did learn doing my research is that Disney cruises are not cheap...Maybe some day we'll do a Disney cruise but better when the grand kids are a little older.
Doug, I'm happy Lynn and family had such a good time. You're a good Daddy to stay home with your Westie :angel2:
