What do you do with all the paper you saved from your trip? The daily bulletins, special dinner menus, invitations, extra postcards, pamplets from excursions, certificates for crossing the equator, climbing Sydney bridge, swimming in Deception Bay, etc, etc.

I used to bring them all home & put them in photo album. That got to be too much so I put them in special drawer. That also overflowed,so now, even though it hurts, I pitch them all before the final leg home.

Jackie, I used to keep all that stuff but now I just pitch it. I do have a stationary collection dating back to the Song of Flower days, though!

I kept them from couple of trips but now I don't bring anything home - I, too, Jackie had great intentions but I realize, for me, best to leave them -

If I have gone to a new place that is not often reviewed here, I will bring them home just for reference to write about it. After that, they are tossed. Like the others good intentions are sometimes overcome by the need to slough!

Although I have saved most of that stuff in plastic bags, my best trip "souvenirs" are the weekend updates, (or trip updates) my husband started writing to our families when we moved to England over three years ago. They have all been saved in an album and will be fun to look at once we have repatriated. I imagine our stuff (passages, etc) will be put in the circular file at some point, but the album will always be kept.
Cheers, Pam

Mine are stuck in oversized ziplock bags waiting for he day that I will do something with them. They are for all the trips - not just cruises. One trip I took with Christy (my step-daughter), I made an album with tickets, pamplets intertwined with the photos and maps. I always planned to do that again. Yeah, sure.

I bring them home for my daughter and after she tells me she doesn't care to look at them, I toss them.

Kathy....like you I keep all my momentos from each trip in a large ziplock bag - if I have the urge to research some detail at least I know where to look.

Believe or not, I go looking for something sooner or later. And if I'm about to repeat an itinerary I go back to see the comments that I recorded in my journal.

Okay- I must the worse one out there. I keep all the daily platters that happen on the ships. (If I liked the trip) I have noticed that people to come to me for help and I just pull them out and they can see what they can do on ships.

Regarding photo- big photo person- took it in college and still love to take photos. Just don't have the time to play around with the photos now with all the tech that is out there.

The receipts for items- only for places that are really special to me. I got Vatican passes, one is on my desk at work- telling me that I will get to Rome again!
Since I was little- collect post cards and that reminds me of where I have been.
I put everything into the photo album and then shut and as Margo says- I know where to look for them. I keep the platters of the ships in a desk file.
cheer

I have a glass desk blotter - both at home and the office. All my room key cards are underneath the glass. Fun to look at and remember each cruise/hotel room. Very few are generic - Hilton - Westin - Sheraton. They usually say the City or the actual property like Waldorf Astoria.

I have a collection of items and photos. Most are stored in the drawers of a big coffee table in our family room. I call them the drawers of good intentions. Soon, I will be forced to finally sort and do whatever it is I will do with all that stuff. We are re-decorating the family room and the coffee table with the big drawers will belong to someone else in just a month or two.

As some of you have heard me confess, I have digital photos since 2004 and have never printed any of them. This year is going to be my organizing year, it's on my New Year's resolution list .

Donna: I have OLD dressers full of old time photos - if I couldn't organize in 1960-80 I will never organize today -

Joanna, more confessions. I haven't organized my children's photos since my youngest was 4 (his wife keeps wanting to know why I haven't given him any of his childhood pics. Well, duhh, I still need to organize them). He is now 27 (almost 28). I had some kind of hang-up about notating on the back of picture: who was in it, where it was taken and when. I am over that!

I also have laundry baskets full of memorabilia for that memory album I plan to make for both of them. I have every shred of paper that had their name on it. I figure one of these days I'll break a limb or have an operation that requires hours on the sofa. Of course, then I won't feel like making the ***albums .

The daily news updates and special invitations and such a put in a 3 hole folder. Then tag each trip, so I can remember the next time I travel to the area, or on the same ship, I can see who the crew was and what was available. I can't tell you how many times I have reviewed the info. Actually, it looks like a photo album.
As to receipts, I keep them in those document folders each cruise gives you.
Yea, I am a saver.
