Does anyone have a good salmon recipe? I am tired of the same old lemon pepper salmon that I always make!

Try this one Karen.
I made this for a cooking contest one year (we do an Iron Chef sort of thing when Tom and I get together with my boss and her hubby. Each time we choose an ingredient we all have to use and this time it was honey). I don't like salmon steaks, but they thought it was GREAT.
Honey Orange Glazed Salmon Ingredients: 1 seedless orange 1/3 cup honey 3 tablespoons orange juice 2 tablespoons soy sauce 2 tablespoons salad oil 1 tablespoon minced garlic 1/4 cup chopped green onions 4 4- to 6-oz. salmon filets, about 1 inch thick 1/4 tsp ground ginger 1 tablespoon butter
Method 1. Using a zester tool, remove 1 tsp. of shredded peel from the orange and set aside. Peel and cut the orange crosswise into 4 slices. Set aside. 2. In a small bowl, mix honey, orange juice, soy sauce, salad oil, garlic and green onions. 3. Put the salmon filets in a zipper-lock plastic bag and add about half of the honey mixture; reserve the remaining mixture. Marinate salmon for 30-60 minutes in the refrigerator. 4. Prepare a gas or charcoal grill for indirect grilling; lightly coat grill rack with oil. Remove fish from marinade and grill, skin side up, for 5 minutes at medium heat level. Using a wide spatula, turn fish and grill 5-6 minutes more, or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. 5. While fish is grilling, in a small sauce pan, bring reserved honey mixture to a boil. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until the mixture thickens slightly. Add orange zest and cook 1 minute more. Remove from heat and stir in butter until it melts. To serve, place orange slice atop filets and top with sauce.

Here's a really simple one:
Buy some raspberry chipotle sauce (I think most grocery stores carry it now) glaze the salmon fillet with it, bake at 400 for 20 minutes.
Other toppings I use and cook similarly are black olive tapenade or crushed pecans. I usually roast broccoli along side the salmon and make some rice. Dinner is done in 30 minutes!

Lauri, That sounds delicious, and way easy. I am such a lousy cook, but I think maybe, even I, might be able to do that.

I make salmon a few times a week and some of my favorites are to glaze the filets 5 minutes before they are finished with a spicy black bean chili sauce which is available in most upscale markets, its made by chinablue. They have a web site so you can order from there if need be. I also take some crushed garlic, olive oil, sesame seeds and fresh parsley and let the filets sit and soak in this mixture for a few hours, yum! I make a mixture of mustard, maple syrup, teriyaki sauce and lemon juice to taste and bake the filets in that. I also use all different types of bar b que sauce as a finish 5 minutes before they are finished. Let me know if you try any of these yummy tricks. We are having salmon tonight. Enjoy!!!

Hoisin sauce makes a good topping too.
We have salmon at least once a week so I've had to be creative.
Another option:
Pick up some Thai fish sauce, green curry paste and lite coconut milk. Follow the recipe on the back of the jar of curry paste but use skinless salmon cut into cubes instead of chicken. I use Thai Kitchen green curry paste and coconut milk.

This is an easy, delicious & heart healthy recipe. We had salmon en papillote several times on our recent month in France. You may use any fish & chicken is also very good. One dish oven meal. This is my easy version without bothering with parchment paper:
1.Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Sprinkle shredded carrots, diced onions, garalic, spinach or whatever you want in bottom of pyrex dish. Just some flavorful layer to form bed for fish.
2. Place fish filets or steaks on top.
3. Add chicken stock diluted with water, maybe an inch, not enough to cover fish.
4. Cover dish with aluminium foil & bake for 30 minutes or until fish flakes easily.
Optional final glaze: 5. Pour just enough bbq sauce to cover top of fish & sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Place under broiler until sauce bubbles.
It is alwasy moist & never dry no matter how long you cook it.
