Thank God It's Football Season! :banana:

The game will be fun, but I also can't wait to experience downtown San Diego - staying in the Gaslamp district - lots of fun from what I've heard! I have to admit, living in SoCal, we are so close to so many fun places - I'm loving it! Last month when the fires were so bad around here and the air was so hot & smokey, we just decided on a whim to drive to Phoenix and watch the Diamondbacks take on our Brewers. We also drove to Vegas for a weekend. When we have more vacation time, we'll head up to wine country.

On game day he kind of runs the pregame warmups etc then walks the sidelines during the game as
"stay back coach" LOL.
Don't want any flags thrown because the team on the sideline is out on the field.

You bet, Jim, I sure will watch for Rock! "The Packer Report" had a really nice article about him the other day. Our seats are on the Packers' side, so he should be easier for us to spot!

We'll be at the first preseason Texans game Saturday night. My husband has been counting down the days till the opening of football season!!!

Well, we certainly enjoyed downtown San Diego and all it had to offer, but those Charger fans were surprisingly RUDE! We were so out of our element - Green Bay fans just don't harrass people - we were NOT used to this. Everywhere we turned, someone was making comments to us that I can't post here. I don't think we'll be going into a "hostile stadium" anytime soon. Truly sad and childish!

The Packers got a flag for being to far on the field and blocked one of the officals.

We are looking forward to football season as well - only college. Our season tickets for Carolina (OK no jokes please) just arrived.

And if we are terrible this year (again) I can always say wait until my basketball tickets arrive.

Nothing like college football (unless it's college basketball), Anthony. The beginning of the season is always fun, all that anticipation. Of course, if it's a bad season, those last few season ticket games are a drag, but the tailgate parties are still fun!

Hey, there's nothing wrong with Carolina, or rooting for a team that's not doing so well - most fans won't even admit it like you did! Fair weather and bandwagon fans irk me! ;)

related to football - if anyone is interested in this sort of thing - Discovery Channel has a show called Extreme Engineering. tonight's show is about the building of the new Cardinals stadium. Titled Super Stadium. Part of the show is about how they built the movable field. Repeats on Saturday & Sunday night.

Now, they just have to build enough roads to get to it! From what I heard, traffic was so bad, many folks just decided to turn around and go home that first preseason game. :eek: What a shame!
